Will Trump direct a military strike against Iran?

Balochistan, Azerbejan, Al Ahwaz, and Turkmen areas in Iran (in addition to the Kurdish areas) should all be given at least autonomy. They have been unfairly ruled centrally by the Persians for a long time.
I fully agree.

But I hope you realize that this will affect Saudi Arabia as well.

The entire map of the region will be redrawn if one country undergoes such changes. ;)

What is the popular perception of Trump among KSA public? Do they appreciate Trump taking this stance against Iran?

I think the perception hasn't been formed yet. It has been just 14 days, so...

No he won't, because Iran is very different from Iraq and Afghanistan. I don't see the US having manpower or stomach for causalities that a land war against Iran would cause. Just bombing Iran from above would accomplish little. The war would spread everywhere, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan would be battle zones for US troops or US allies.

Iran is too big and has friends in high places that arent fond of US intervention. Unlike Iraq and Afghanistan which were quite isolated and much less developed. Similar to why Pakistan hasnt been freedomed yet, although the anti Iran Gulf-Israeli-US alliance is definitely strong. Even an idiot wouldnt risk such an action unless tensions increase even further.

Americans have never attacked a foe that is capable to bring war to them...IRAN is a no go..Trump will limit himself to sanctions..no more no less. And of course the without pants monarchies and Émirats will foot the bill for any moves Trump may make...to the point that he will bleed those countries of subhumans to death...

For now, it is just a high tone (new sanctions about entities), low tone (the nuclear agreement still holds) from the white house, while at the same time they are easing sanctions on Russia..The ultimate aim is obviously to strip Iran from its Russian powerful ally, the US will have Russia in such a position that it might see that it has more to gain from the US than from Iran, thus making it much easier to harm Iran in different ways, not necessarily war.. India is already in semi-camping with the US, so that will leave China alone to support Iran, hence further labelling it as supporting rogue states and while doing so the US will try to diminish the Chinese influence in the middle east and Asia..

I think a strike against Iran is rational. There are many human rights grounds to launch it, but it should remain military targeted as opposed to being civilian targeted. Trump could also invest in the Kurdish side of Iran to riase nationalistic awarness there and raise the profile for autonomous Kurdish provinces in Iran.

They won't strike, just talk.

You underestimate the required size of such a campaign, it would require military numbers equal to the coalition build up for the 1991 desert storm. It would also endanger the thousands of US troops in Iraq.

GCC & Jordan should stop being America's dog of the region. They even hosted America's war on Saddam's Iraq, yet you cry about Iran. Butbutbut... if you hadn't have helped the US remove Saddam would Iran even be a threat?

Nope, sanction Iran and Iran makes nukes. Scapegoat Iran and make them the bad guys (Sectarian propaganda). Then arm Saudi Arabia (the "Good guys") with nukes. Create a False Flag and the Middle East goes KABLOOIE!!! .......... Glass everywhere.

Either that or magic happens and nobody believes the sectarian and Islamophobia propaganda, then there's Rainbows and Unicorns everywhere.

Lol keep dreaming.
US was at its closet point to war with Iran during the Bush administration, who was surrounded by ideologues/neoconservatives (they were itching badly). But even in those circumstances, rationality won the day rather than ideology. Thats because they realised the huge costs a war with Iran would bring, given Iran's assymetrical capabilites.

That was 2006/2007ish. What a war with Iran would look today is incomparable to what it would look like then, because Iran's capabilities and the geopolotical map have drastically changed.
The costs would be enormous, and with no guarantee the US would achieve any of its strategic objectives.
Its not gonna happen.
