If you think that the moment China starts shooting the US will do nothing then you are as dumb as the insult you tossed.
I'm right on the money.
Russia shot up Georgians (a close U.S. ally and NATO applicant), who have received a billion dollars of U.S. aid and is a member of the U.N.
Did the U.S. do anything to protect Georgia?
Why would the U.S. do anything to protect communist Vietnam, who has received ZERO aid from the United States?
How important is the Philippines to the United States if the U.S. only gave Aquino $30 million in foreign military aid for 2012 after he begged like a dog?
----------
Gambit, your half-Vietnamese heritage has blinded you to the truth. You're biased and not objective.
1. Georgia (close U.S. ally, U.N. member, and recipient of $1 billion U.S. aid) = no U.S. action
1a. The United States harshly denounced Russia when it fought the Georgians.
2. Philippines (kicked U.S. out of Subic Bay and recipient of paltry $30 million miilitary aid after vigorous begging)
2a. Secretary of State Clinton says U.S. has no territorial claims in the South China Sea and will remain neutral.
3. Vietnam (communists who killed 50,000 Americans in 1970s and recipient of $0 in U.S. military aid)
Gambit, come again, on why the U.S. would defend the Philippines and communist Vietnam but not the Georgians?
