Will not allow anymore nuclear reactors in India: Activist

You have unfortunately fallen victim into an all too common scare mongering tactic - the perils of nuclear waste. The total quantity produced by all of India's reactors in all theses decades would still be small enough to fit into an area the size of a small shed. What's so scary about that? Would you rather kill millions of birds which would happen rather routinely if you put up scores of wind turbines leaving aside the fact that they are a severe visual pollution? Solar power is no better, Would you rather seize hundreds of thousands of acres from farmers to put up an solar equivalent of a a small coal powered plant? At a price no one could afford? One must be practical, electricity is unfortunately not produced with exotic dreams & ideas, some pies in the sky are best left there.

are you so sure of this part, do you know that after the recent Tsunami the readings in costal area near kalpam has shown a increase in radio active contamination, which suggest that either the INDIAN NAVY Subs that do the dumping in the sea has dumped the nuclear waste very close to the shore or Posidon(The Greek God of Sea) has a non safe Nuclear Reactor in the Bay of Bengal and needs some N Scientist in establsihing better techniques for his N reactor.

You are aware with a term called "scale of economics" right? The Chinese perfected this, in order to produce bulk and export but still make a profit. We need to think out of the box solutions. How can we even have a fair debate when activists who are demanding this, are being railroaded? Coal is being scapegoated and while it is a terrible pollutant, we are overlooking the main culprit, Land Mafia and GREED.

dude this movement is built up by 2 scientists and 99% illetrate ppl of villages, who r following them blindly. mark my words this movement will grow bigger and bigger and these scientists will bring in more illitrate ppl to make it a force. they will reach everywhere where govt plans to build nxt nuke plant and start protesting. get ready for long delays coming to future projects.

Yes nuclear reactors are very bad we cannot have another Chernobyl accident better for India to get rid of nuclear weapon club because India cannot handle nuclear reactor it's like giving caveman a nuclear weapon.

Every country in the world is desperately trying to sell us high-tech nuclear reactors and fuel, while the only time anybody says nuclear and pakistan in the same breath is when they want to express a fear of terrorists acquiring nuclear weapons.

I can understand your frustration, that you have to come here and call indians cavemen (which is what you did).

Burn with jealousy as you see these cavemen investing in fourth generation reactors and progressing rapidly, while no nuclear fuel selling nation would touch your country with a ten foot pole. Then decide for yourself who is the international caveman.

If you want to continue to flaim, I will give you hints. Say something about "oh why is India building nuclear reactors when they dont have toilets and they have poor people, ha ha ha they have poor people while we are super rich" or something along those lines. Thats what your people usually do when they get jealous of something India is acquiring.
