Well, the J-31 was designed for the export, so the TOT isn't a big issue.

China can offer the J-31 with TOT, while Russia can offer the PAK FA.

And I don't think the US will offer Iran the F-35.

Also, don't forget that China can also provide a pack of valuable frigates and AIP subs with soft loans.

While the offer on those airplanes can be tempting I doubt iran will be that enthusiastic about the navi offer as we have some progressing project in that field.

By the way I checked j31 and it seems to bo more bomber oriented which I doubt will intrest iran . My geuess is what will intrest iran will be something that can eplace f-14

J-31 is a nimble 5th gen aircraft fighter that was designed for the air superiority.

Those who thinks Chinese products are inferior they are wrong for sure.

Chinese have every thing to make as good products as the western countries just look at their aesa radars.

But I still thinking mullah want buy any fighters, these people count it well before deciding to buy planes unless those planes bringing something with them all they want now s-300 for deterrence no more.
