Wikileaks revelations - realistic view of our army

. .
Well nothing new. Whats new here? lol...

SSG getting training from U.S military? Well, even before that, SSGs used to go to America for military training. Even now, we have many Pakistani officers/soldiers doing different courses in UK, U.S military academies etc..Everyone does that. Even our saffron enemy...

Pakistani military is designed to take on indian threat, which it can easily since indian Army is so junk that their tanks dont even have night vision..lmao..but an American looking at Pakistan military will definitely call it "old" ..duhh

Indian Member.....TROLL BAIT...do not fall for it...

and not to forget that PAF personnel were sabotaging F-16's of PAF.

Holdon....can u plz link me anything so that i can readup on this.,....why the heck would they sabotage their own aircraft :what:

.
Why would they sabotage their own?
Are they saboteurs?

They were trying to save their Talib Buddies from Air Strikes.

US fears: ‘PAF airmen sabotaging F-16s’
Published: May 21, 2011

A 2006 cable cites a senior air force official saying airmen were being radicalised.
NEW DELHI:
According to a WikiLeaks cable, Pakistan’s airmen were being radicalised by extremists and were sabotaging Pakistani F-16s deployed for security operations along the Afghan border, NDTV reported on Friday.
The cable sent on March 2006 from the US embassy to Washington, quotes then Deputy Chief of Air Staff for Operations Air Vice Marshal Khalid Chaudhry as saying that the airmen, most of whom came from rural villages, were being radicalised by extremist clerics.
The cable quotes Chaudhry as saying, “You can’t imagine what a hard time we have trying to get them to trim their beards.”
The cable also reveals that Chaudhry claimed “to receive monthly reports of acts of petty sabotage, which he interpreted as an effort by extremists amongst the enlisted ranks to prevent PAF aircraft from being deployed in support of security operations in the Federally Administrated Tribal Areas (Fata) along the Afghan border.”
According to NDTV, Chaudhry was briefing visiting US officials at the Pakistan Air Force Headquarters and impressing upon them the need to ensure “the F-16 deal has enough sweeteners to appeal to the public – a complete squadron of new F-16s, with JDAM and night-vision capability – but not to offer the PAF things that it cannot afford.”
The cable quotes Chaudhry as telling the delegation, “off the record”, that PAF aircraft were regularly called to provide air support to military and security forces when they get into tight spots in Fata … “, adding that the Army brass and the ground forces commanders would deny it.

US fears:

-SSG are not all they are hyped up to be. Apparently US has trainers at tarbela helping train them even on things like sniper training, etc. and they are described as being still on the learning curve based on performance in tribal areas

I'm not agreeing with that. SSG has its own Sniper training history, it's been years since SSG has been training on its own. The specialized training in other countries is very rare. Gosh, we have more than dozen countries sending their SF's to train at SSG facilities, by the SSG, and here we have US trainers just for sniping stuff? Not believable!

Welcome to the forum @Newguy123, very interesting post as being first.
Talking about spare parts, yes we do rely on US for the supply and that is the reason all three armed forces branches are moving away from US equipment, focusing on third party suppliers.
Talking about the helicopters then yes they did take allot of beating during 2008 / 09 operations and so did mil mi 17, But its fine now.
I never said ssg are the best, there is always more to learn, we had American trainers training police anti terrorist force but they were sent back. Even mushraf sent his ssg guards for training on security detail.

Welcome to the forum and one hell of a way to make an entry. However this is already known over here and even amongst my class. Other then the ssg training part which as two posters above me mentioned took place a long time ago and the aging equipment which was a problem a few years ago but it was rectified. The rest true and known even to the common people i think.

All I will say is "Super Horse crap" & Indians are thinking....... well lets just leave the Indians in their fictional world of shining India. Good luck with this so called cable.

.
These cables are definitely old , Most of our force is now diverted to Chinese as navy is focusing on chinese subs and frigates , tanks are all now Ukranian and Chinese. most new choppers are mi17. No more bell deals all shipped by 2010. Artillery systems from china. Jets from china. and all. Other thing SSG training well they are training others in the world. Wiki leak only leaks the things which it is made to its an western propaganda to show that even wiki leak shows that countries like pak suck and UN and other western nations are true hero's helping other causes. well u can call third persons

The guys at wikileaks are drunk and need go home.
MODS PLEASE CLOSE THE THREAD.
THE NEWS BEFORE 2010 IS OLD NEWS.

I have seen and meet these trainers at tarbila and attock fort, not just u.s but also french and german.
which ever country sells or gives certain equipment under aid program sends trainers as well. Now in the words of a senior SSG offcier "listen to every one but do what u think is right as we have been fighting for the last 10 years under all conditions and varried assortment of enemies and nothing beats that".
in other words if under some program a certain country is providing u equipment and it intails that their would "also" be trainers than thats not because we need theem or asked for them but only their because the term of the agreement says so.

also an other very interesting event i witnessed first hand was when i saw this us army non com at attock who was their to varify SSG claims of usage of ammo/equipment under WOT opps carried out by SSG. I was told that he was to accompany thee SSG on its opps but after the first opperation he was scared shitles$ and from than on words he refused to accompany the SSG to any of its opps and signed what ever the SSG gave him with out varifying it.

all in all, all this talk of trainers is more talk than any thing else as the input of the trainers on all fronts is very very minimal. its just that our armned forces are not in the habit of bragging or chest thumping and just get the job done quitly.
