Why Western criticism of India’s Mars mission is blatant racism

"After two public apologies from ABC over a satirical skit aired on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Oct. 16 -- in which a child suggested the U.S. "kill everyone in China" to resolve the national debt."

This is what USA' cheap mindset is all about.

.
Many of these journalists cribbing about the cost seem disconnected from India. We spent 450 crores on this mission. Let me put that in context. One of the local cricket teams – Mumbai Indians – alone is worth 1000 crores. Ambani built a home in Mumbai for 5000 crores. Every single day, Indians buy gold jewelry worth 1500 crores. An upcoming Bollywood movie (made about space) is costing over 500 crores.
Total Cost of the Mars mission - $75 million or Rs 450 crores.
Cost of one Boeing Dreamliner passenger jet - $289 million or Rs 1800 crores.
Cost of one Rafale jet - $100 million or Rs 620 crores.
Cost of one Eurofighter jet - $150 million or Rs 900 crores.

So WTF is the big deal spending a paltry $75 million or Rs 450 crores or half a Eurofighter on a Mars mission?

Guys, these white skinned idiots want us to instead build sh!t houses for Indians for $75 million or dole out the amount to the 'poor' as a one time gift to magically transform them to the upper middle class.

I didn't know the world had so many imbeciles especially the Brits, America's pet poodles. No wonder they're going down the rabbit hole. Their intellectual bankruptcy is breathtaking and their arrogance, spectacular!!

What do you expect from the West? Does anyone actually believe they look at non-Western developing countries as equal to themselves in any way?
When Gagarin flew into space - the whole world rejoiced, even the Europeans. And in America, that day was a day of national mourning - no one could believe that the Russian went into space first. Americans because in the good old tradition of the Nazi saw themselves as super race - and now this.
And yet, even after losing the space race, Americans somehow managed to look at Russia from top to bottom..
So do not be surprised.

That is so not true. USA officially congratulated USSR, and the president (Kennedy) himself sent a personal message to the Soviets, lauding their achievement. Among common people, there was suspicion about USSR's real intentions (about space research aiding missile research), and disappointment that they were behind the USSR, but that was still healthy competition, not any beliefs in nazi ideologies of super race. And there was plenty of excitement about what the future held for space travel, which the event had proved was possible.

It also strengthened their resolve to put a man on the moon before the soviets, which they did. All in all, it was a spirit of comptition in science and technology that bnefited everybody - ironically, it was the soviet philosophy that disdained competition and entreprneurship in favor of governmental monotony. The space race itself was a triumph of americal ideals of competition bringing out the best in everybody.

This is same they do with Pakistan as well. Our Success in Military Nukes, Beauty and IT is not even touched in their media. For them Pakistan is Afghanistan's twin Brother.
And thats why i tell u Indians to develop Some kind of alliance with us and China and Dont see us as a threat.

This this article was shared by a Chinese whom u see as yr Enemy.

It is clear case of envy. British tops the list. US was more positive.

Advanced countries should realize that Science and Technology are not any more their prerogative

Anyway, two missions to Mars or Venus, these guys will die with envy.

There is a difference between being jealous and being an enemy.

Sometime even you best friends or sibling could be jealous of you.

We don't see chinese as our enemy. Just becaus you see some name calling on the forum between Indian and chinese members, doesn't mean that that is the general nature of Sino-Indian relations. Neither at a governmental nor at a people's level is there any hostility between Indians and chinese, except on this forum.

We don't even see pakistan as an enemy, only as a threat, and that is because pakistanis want to take our territory. You would want Kashmir, would you not? We don't want you to take it from us. It's that simple. That is the reason why we are wary of pakistan, because of its covert and overt attempts at taking our land. If pakistanis had no desire for our kashmir, there would be peace.

The only reason we see pak as a threat is because of repeated attempts like kargil and periodic infiltrration of armed terrorists. If that didn't happen, we wouldn't see pak as a threat.

And if these Stupid low mentality Siblings develop a broader vision for a common good, then there will remain no Jealousy or animosity.

After all Brits Ruled America as well and they fought even bigger battles then us against French. So if they can develop a broader vision for common good then why cant we?

If you buy a Dreamliner USA gets the money...If you buy a Rafale or a Eurofighter Europeans get the money....If you make a orbiter they don't get the money.....If India had spent 3 billion dollars to get a Western contractor to build the orbiter nobody would even bring up poverty here because they would have been the beneficiaries....its business!

It is clear that he congratulated. Kennedy said that "the Russian beat us at the school desk."
But the newspapers wrote articles were not happy - there was an atmosphere of general discouragement and frustration.
I am sure that some noble people were happy - but how many of them in America? The others were severely disappointed.
Man on Moon, Mars, Venus - it is all secondary.
Only Gagarin will remembered through thousands and may be millions years. He was FIRST.
By the way - the head of the U.S. missile program was von Braun - Nazi.

Firstly China is not an enemy and, Pakistan is India's own brother whom India would never like to talk with.

That is mutual. U also want to gain our territory even yr constitution u have placed our lands as yrs. And the threat u pose to us is even bigger and real after East Pakistan. and 97 to 2002 military standoff and not to forget yr covert and overt operations in our territories as well.

But keeping aside this, we have even bigger enemy to deal with the one who actually wants to destroy us and sees us as its market to sell its cheap and untested products.

They even have bigger history of animosity British-French, US- Japan in Japan even they dropped nukes for God sake. Even America Got its independence from British but do we see them talking about these lines anymore?

Look at even Israel-German relation and the Germans r same who killed millions of Jews in their concentration Camps. The Founder of Israel Theodore Herzl had first got the concept of a Jewish state when he saw the French in Paris protesting against jews in 1900. and this same France is the country who sold Nuke Tech to Israel after less then 10 years of its creation!!!!

Even this article proves further what they actually are and even they do same with us and Chinese so if they can get together for common Good then why can we who have shared a common history of thousands of years?

After all our alliance will benefit us Pakistan, China n India most and will damage their monopoly the most!!!
Firstly China is not an enemy and, Pakistan is India's own brother whom India would never like to talk with.
All right then be prepare to be kicked by west as always.

Remember this;; Together we r strong and divided we remain vulnerable.

When China or India lauch rockets, western news always come with"This can bring Space debris and atmospheric pollution, and they have *** poor people need the money....",
while EU or US launch, "this is human's a big step, meaning for whole world....."

See the more embracing thing for all is that how India can do it with such limited resources. Resources not only in term of money. See we do not have GSLV ready to put space craft so high in orbits (Geo and Above). How we could manage the mission with PSLV type of rocket. It is actually because of our high competence in space science. Our scientists could work out some unique methods to send space craft to mars with some unique maneuvers with minimum fuel consumption.

They are worried because India show a unique way to accomplish such a complex mission which others cann't think of. This Jugad actually embarrasses them very much. The other thing is that they are pushed behind in space race. As India takes one step ahead they are down one step.
