I was referring to armpit tresses.
It was astonishing to find out what Doc did. Thank you, Doc, I owe you.
Even more astonishing to find out how many people responded to the threat, and what they said. It was eery to read people tackle some of the obnoxious. I can't repay this.

Can not watch the video, but from what i can assume from the comments, this is absolute submission before communal forces. What worries me most is, Bengal for the last few decades has slowly lost a pool of civil servants who were the last reminiscent of a generation who knew the intricacies of codes and conducts of a government, its duties and manners in which it should act, and those who had sufficient firmness to stand up against a decision by the government which they could feel to be inappropriate and imprudent for public interest.
Police has become a mere armed wing of the ruling party (a product of communist therapy), neither capable of controlling a small public agitation nor conducting a proper investigation where the prime accused belong to the ruling party. How can we expect them to grow enough spine to control a riot if it breaks out? They know they can not, so they will put every effort to make it sure that the possibility of a tensed situation does not arise at all.
@Joe Shearer judging from the response here, I'm thinking you should run for the next elections! Thanks @vsdoc for this much needed thread.
I have known Joe on this forum for almost 4 years now. We don't see eye to eye on a number of matters and we naturally feel that the other person is too defensive of his point when it comes to the national policy but I have the greatest respect for Joe because he is a rare kind of poster.
He backs his arguments up with cold hard facts, he is articulate and clear. A respectful poster and a fine gentlemen, he is among the first people who come to mind when I try to think of the people who I can have a meaningful discussions with on regional issues.
It is a sad state to see many Indians, his own kin, bully and attack him like this, a man much superior to them in age and experience and especially one who has contributed directly to their nation's development as a regional power. The Hindutva brigade in particular takes a particular dislike to him because he is not afraid to point out that India is deviating from its historical secularism, a point of pride for many and also a point that I am not entitled to speak about so I shall stop at that.
On a lighter note Joe, you once offered me to come to India and take up a teaching position. If things get any worse, I'll be waiting for your message and I'm sure there is no shortage of universities who would not want a man of your caliber to take the reigns of their Humanities and Social Sciences Departments!
