In India a farmer raises a cow and uses milk for his consumption or income, then cow gets old and doesnt produce milk, what does farmer do with that cow

depletion of grazing population is a reality. Large group of cattle beyond their milk production life is obviously compounding the problem. I'm not against the beasts being alive, but I don't know if the current system that culls out the old ones is bad. My focus would be on humane treatment of how the slaughter is done.

Good point. It is true that overgrazing causes problems. But crop produce is wasted in India. In enormous amounts. 40% actually. This can easily be fed to cattle.

Otherwise those calling for deregulating beef should be forced to cull cows - 10 cows personally using nothing but a pocket knife.

And the pulses you don't feed to people you think can give to cows? Just try it- I would DEFINITELY want BJP to try it. Despite a majority they'll be out of power in 5 days flat. There is a very real reason why in this great land of ours food stocks rot in FCI godowns while people starve. The moment they release the stocks at subsidized rates, they find that majority of it comes back within weeks on MSP. The food stocks never reach the people whom it is intended to.

From my personal experience beef is mostly consumed by Non Muslims,communists,atheists and liberals the muslims families whom i know even if they live in village prefer mutton or Bada (buffalo).

From my personal experience beef is mostly consumed by Non Muslims,communists,atheists and liberals the muslims families whom i know even if they live in village prefer mutton or Bada (buffalo).

Nihari, Paya, Beef biryani, Bihari Kebab are all Muslim dishes they invented and consider it delicacy, don't spread ignorance we love to eat Bachiya mean virgin Cow.

He can't do anything. His very livelihood has been destroyed unless he breaks the law which is what Indians are forcing him to do. A ban on anything always has a negative reaction. Look at the ban on alcohol in Pakistan-people still consume it. Banning is not a solution to anything.
