Pakistan has the most advanced indigenous missiles and they don't need any new technology whereas if they join they will have to share their advanced technology with super powers and rest of the world. They are playing smartly.

Or the skelletons will start rolling out of cupboard, as original source of these missiles will be out then in open....

In my understanding ..The sole purpose of India joining this MTCR is to make her case more strong to gain entry into NSG, since China is not being accepted into this group & Indian gained entry, they might be thinking of using this MTCR as a bargain chip to get China node for NSG... But will China fall into it... That's we have to wait & see

well thats called sour grapes as pakistan even if it wanted would not have made it as there is no China in MTCR group and now giving giving explanitions why it dint go but every nation with formidable enemies want to be part of MTCR cause MTCR brings more perks than NSG as it allows you to buy any weapons/missile/latest UCAVs-Drones tech that non MTCR member cant buy

That is simply not the case, as mentioned in the article no MTCR member is forced to not sell any missile technologies to a non MTCR member, this policy is only followed by the US, if we need any advance missile technologies we could easily acquire it from China or Turkey (like the SOM cruise missile we were speculating that we might buy from them).

and that is the same case with China, if they for some reason needed any advanced missile technologies, they can easily acquire it from Russia, MTCR is nothing more than a voluntary group, it doesn't hold power to force members to limit their missile technologies sale to members state only.

your so so wrong we will get in NSG in due course but till then hardly any effects as we have waiver to buy all kinds of dual use nuclear techs & nuclear fuel from any nation which as of now we are already doing only thing we cant do is export so do not worry about that point is pakistan can not join MTCR and due to that can not get any latest missile , drone or other dual use weapons tech from any MTCR member nation ... there is a catch we cant sell any missile with range more than 300Km and warhead weight more than 500 Kg but anything under that we are leagally free to export ... Got It

It is right for Pakistan, MTCR has no value. Pakistan does not need advanced missile technologies or drones, what it need is reliable missiles to deliver its bombs into India, which it already has.

MTCR has no significance for Pakistan. It will however restrict Pakistan in certain ways and that's not worth it. We already possess potent missile tech and have access to drone technologies.

Interesting angle. India won't enter NSG until it doesn't become signatory of NPT.

forget china for a moment and tell me what is pakistani achievments on its own and what is there dept now we are talking about MTCR what has USA dept got to do with it ?

thing is you knew you cant get into any group without Chinese help and since China even after trying for almost a decade could not join MTCR it was no question about your nations chances no trolling just straight facts am i wrong ?

What China is doing is a clever game where it has made a point that either india play by chinese rules or forget NSG ticket but has brought pakistan into equation which it perfectly knows wont get it anyway hence you yourself think about whome USA will take to task after China spoilt its game

as for either NSG or UNSC USA wont exit but with all its allies make sure China cannot do for long what it just did with indias case and it will take time worry about what USA and allies will do to pakistani interests in this field now ... good luck

The Indians and particularly the Americans have been red faced after the NSG debacle. It has been a thorough diplomatic defeat at the hands of China. China has pulled its weight and made sure that India didn't get an entry despite frantic efforts by their American buddies. If there are sour grapes, they are only reserved for India and the US. The Americans are now predicting that India might enter NSG in December. Well, we can be rest assured. Until India doesn't become a signatory of NPT the chances are practically zero.

MTCR is just a good feel cover up. It has no significance.
