The main reason why Trump won is primarily because of jobs. He promised them jobs. Others like Muslims, transgender rights, abortion are only secondary. From my references, the job situation over there was mediocre at best. Healthcare may also be one other issue (about which Mr. Trump is surprisingly liberal about). Not to mention brilliant marketing for the Trump campaign.
Having spent much of my life abroad in Western Europe, East and South East Asia, my regret is that I've never been to the U.S. But I can say from history is that they have been through a lot of turmoil. The Vietnam War, Watergate Scandal, Monica Lewinsky among others. What is happening now is just one of them (albeit very unpredictable).
I see little reason for Pakistanis to be afraid since your country is not on the list that pose risks to the U.S. You can speak out for something you do not like without fear of persecution, assassination or abduction. Isn't that partly why you are there in the first place?
