Because it should have been punjabi nationalist movement and not sikh. Even with in sikh only certain castes of sikhs, not all. Which resulted in punjabi hindus areas given to gawar Haryana. Punjabi hindus feeling unwanted in punjab declared their language hindi in Haryana. But since punjabi hindus in Haryana have kept their culture and language intact which doesn't go well with backward hindi Haryanvis. Being well to do community is another reason for jealousy by Hayanvi bhayas.

Solution is punjabi nationalist movement for east punjab to be independent irrespective of castes or religions. And take back punjabi areas from occupation of gangu telis of Haryana.

Khalistan movement failed because of Indira Gandhi and ironically the Punjabis elected the same Congress party that crushed the Khalistani movement.

So, where do you think people are on the 'Khalistan' issue.

My advice is don't jump up and down seeing those Canadian and British Sikhs who are better off, and being Part time Khalistani.

There is a reason why Babbar Khalsa termed terrorists organization, their sympathizers are terrorists too.

Agree with the central premise of your thread. Hindus make up 40% of the population and a Sikh supremacist movement wouldn't go down well with them. Couldn't really understand the rest of what you wrote, its not really clear.

Assuming whatever complex alignment you propose is achieved, how will ISI help this time around? Same as last time or something new?

Actually many of them, especially the ones in Canada, escaped from India because they were Khalistani. So whatever protests etc. you see there is all that is left of the movement.

Pakistani Punjab se bismillah kare who knows Sikh and Hindu Punjabis might join your Punjabi subba eventually.

ISI didn't help last time but should be on board this time around. First we need unity in east punjab and after that take on Delhi. With dalit tribals on our side whole India will disintegrate.

It failed because not everyone in punjab was on same page. Whore Indra gandi toke advantage of divided punjabi society.
Careful with the words.

You said divided, if an opinion is divided it means, everyone is not interested in that. In the same breath Balochistan insurgency was not successful because Pakistan took advantage of the 'divided Baloch society'?

Or straight foreward, majority of the people are not interested in that BS and they had different priority than taking arms against their mother land.

Not exactly, only few tribes in Balochistan became insurgents out of 100+. Khaslitan was much bigger movement with sikhs abandoning army. India had to recruit mazhabhi sikhs who are dalits to fight khalitanis. That's how they toke advantage of divided punjab.

There are a few dozen other such articles, you can read them. There is no terrorist movement in South Asia that does not have an ISI footprint on it.

Actually ISI tried to help KhalistanI terrorists a lot but retaliation by RAW in Pakistan through multiple bombings and instigating violence in Karachi forced it to stop.

So, you very well know why they didn't took part when the High cast sikh tried to impose their law on Punjab. The Khalistan movement was aimed at creating a extreme right wing nations where only High Cast sikhs had a place. They even attacked the minority sikhs. Dalits included.

And Punjab has highest number of Schedule Castes in whole India .....

I suspect a lot of support for Khalistan was from Western intelligence services. The moment the cold war ended the support dropped off for the Khalistan movement. A lot of Khalistani leaders were allowed by GOI to visit India.

It failed because not everyone in punjab was on same page. Whore Indra gandi toke advantage of divided punjabi society.
speaking of the devil Indira Gandhi abetted the mess

British Indian colony was already divided by force of nature, nothing to divide there. If anything goras gave you country on plate. Punjab is different case since same people living in same region were divided by external forces. 1984 genocide proved that IoPunjab cannot be another Indian state for long time.
