That was a honorific title in recognition of his one track mind and fanatical dedication to sanitation.

Similar to "Mahatma" gandhi and "quaid e azam" jinnah. Surely someone like Koovie who is so obcessed with TOILETS and Sanitation will take it as a complement.

His dedication to Toilets must be given due recognition.
I have told you name calling is against the forum rules. This will only land you in hot waters.

@Jango @Emmie @Jungibaaz

yes it has no root in scripture and hindusm. thats what i want to point out these sacrifices are born out of local cultures it has nothing to do with core of Hindusm. some foolish people started it for their convenience or for their need or for their foolish beliefs. It is not part of Hindusm. We should get rid of those false cultures and traditions.
@levina @SarthakGanguly
I 've cleared it inthis post as to why I'd mentioned animal sacrifices.

Sarthak the real issue was not the translations/animal sacrifices, but rituals like these which were a part hinduism (like the aghoris), and hindus used to eat meat which is a well known fact. I don't think anyone has denied that on this thread other than wolfyy.
I've yet to understand why beef was banned? As I've said this many times earlier on this thread, its an economically unsound decision and I do not see why govt fails to see the repercussions this decision will 've on poor farmers, and ofcourse those who make a living out of this.
Is it really just about religion?? and forcing one's dietary habits on others??
I hope it is not, because if so then we 're going to be the next Pakistan.
Edit:
I already know about article 48A.

bhai please listen further..
so now listen we dont sacrifice animals to any gods. according to our belief there are guards who are always guarding doors of temple and they are rakshas. so the sacrifice of animal(goat, chicken) is meant for that rakshas not for gods.
and now days that is also banned. so get in mind Hindus never sacrifice any animal to god.
Get this loud and clear that rituals like animal sacrifices were a part of hinduism and so also eating meat.
Again, the Spiderman pep talk,"That with power comes responsibility".:tsk:
The reason the Minority insists on eating Cow specifically, because they think they can taunt and mock us,thinking they still rule this land. There is no religious requirement for eating Beef as per their Scriptures. Then they can change their habit and look for another source of animal protein.
1) Thats an assumption.
2) Why do you want them to look for new source of animal protein???

That is because,it is required in our religion not to eat Beef and stop slaughter of Cows.
That is our religious requirement and we still constitute 80% population of this nation. So should rules be made accordingly keeping in mind, the aspirations of the Majority of people or will you make rules that only suit 20% Minority?
The old cows will go through the way Nature intended them to be and die of Natural death later. You don't sell your cows to slaughter houses because they became old.Just like you don't Sell your dog to a butcher because it has become old.
Like i said Minority don't run the country nor Secularism,We do!
So to you this decision is all about religion???
You've not answered my questions
1) what happens to the poor farmers who can not afford to keep old cows? what should they do with those old emaciated cows???
2) How economically sound is this decision??
I am expecting answers this time.

Hahaha, how is Banning Beef losing ground and support in other states?Do we let minority dictate what we should follow and act according to them, while getting our religious sentiments hurt?
Nope,Can't do.
This is the Election Manifesto of BJP and Shiv Sena. They delivered their promise.People are happy about it,Even the Muslim Chamber welcomes the Ban and want it implemented all over India.
The only ones crying are the Libtard Hindus and Communists, who equate Eating beef as requirement to be Modern,Liberal and all accommodating.Normal Hindus on street welcome this ban.The whining of a tiny minority Libtards won't matter at all, since they never go out to vote, but preach things sitting in their A/C rooms.
Libtards blah blah...Anything else???
Remember Delhi elections???
And how members within BJP were also murmuring that it was high time BJP leaders got off their high horses and minded their hubris???
BJP was voted to power by the ppl for development of the country. Modi has reiterated that its India first for his government and assured everyone that religion is a personal choice. Remember??

That is not my article. Obviously the OP is trolling. Sorry to disappoint. Think about it, have I ever tried to convince anyone? I take more pleasure in brawling and trolling. So such an article is very unlike me 8-) . I think the poor bugger who wrote this article will be eventually beaten up by some poor thug who thinks the author is me :) . I have enemies everywhere in the internet :p:
Oooops!
I thought the author Anil Nair was you. (Though I remember reading your name as something else on twitter, some member had once posted your tweets during the elections).

.
nowhere are we expressly prohibited to do anything by an all powerful god.

conscience is what stops us from rape and murder etc, and that's not exclusive to us Hindus.

if nazis like you could have their way, they'd ban all nonveg :P

that'd be great, right ?

Since you have degenerated into using Godwin's Law its pretty clear that you are clutching at straws

Conscience is nothing but Ethics and MORAL principles, both of which is defined by RELIGION. Without Religion to define it, THERE IS NO conscience. Do Robots or Computers have a Conscience ? :cheesy:

I think its about time you learned a bit more about Hinduism before yapping to all and sundry.

The Fact still remains that Hindus in Kerala got a free ride due to the Blood of Hindus which was shed in the rest of India and by those who died protecting Hinduism.

The ONLY serious Islamic attack on Kerala was by Tipu Sultan and that turned 25% of kerala into Muslims :cheesy:

You are wrong mate. It was the opposite that what happened . Heard about Adi Shankara? If that saint was not there the fate of Hinduism in India would have been a different story. Kerala represents a melting pot of cultures. Geographically, Kerala lies between the Arabian sea and the Western Ghats. These geographic barriers served to insulate Kerala from invading forces in Northern India and may have enabled Kerala to keep much of its own way of life and social institutions in place for centuries. While at the same time, Kerala was able to exchange ideas and philosophy with other countries, such as Egypt, Arabia, Persia and China, because of its geographical location.
Just read the history of tipu's attack on Kerala. And the islamic history of Kerala. It was not because of tip that we have a 25% muslim population. we have a different history than the violent history of north. Arabs traded with us even before they were muslims. St. Thomas, one of the twelve apostles of Christ came to India in A.D. 52 with a foreign trader and spread Christianity to the jewish and other ethnic communities in Kerala. And so many arab, jewish, christian and muslim traders and their family got settled here by this trade. I am not saying that there was no conversion here. But it was not a forceful conversion like in the north. Even Kerala was a safe heaven for those prosecuted people from middle east during ancient time. That's why you see different cultures mixed and coexisting in Kerala peacefully. We always accept what is good in other cultures. And wont allow to impose others violent culture upon us. There are so many lessons to learn around India on what happened to nations who imposed something upon their citizens for political gains.

Adi Shankara existed because generations of Hindus in North India shed their blood to keep Kerala safe from Islamic rule. Had that not happened, kerala never stood a chance as amply demonstrated by Tipu.

British hardly ruled kerala and the christians population became 20%.

The geographical barriers did not insulate Kerala from the Chola's so its foolish to assume it would have prevented anybody else.

Arab trade only introduced islam to kerala, not convert a significant population to islam.

Finally the fairy tales of St. Thomas has been thrashed time and again in pdf. Stop dragging in fantasies to substitute history.

As for the "violent culture", its funny you should even pretend to claim such things when political killings are a daily reality in Kerala. lol. ...... right from college campuses to Panchayat elections. A state where 98% of your women feel unsafe has no right to sermonise on "violent culture" being imported.

.
Actually beef was not banned for religious reason, it was banned because of article 48A in Indian constitution. It's just that Maharashtra decided to implement it.
This is what article 48a says

"Article 48A in The Constitution Of India 1949
48A. Protection and improvement of environment and safeguarding of forests and wild life The State shall endeavour to protect and improve the environment and to safeguard the forests and wild life of the country"

Whoa!!
@syedali73 Don't miss this. :)

Btw @haviZsultan 99.99% mallus on this forum 're secular. Trust me! Lol

Just a partial ban.(Beer and wine is still allowed)
The word 'Wildlife' is used to refer to non-domesticated animal species.....cows are domestic animals....you know very well that it was not banned to save any endangered animals(which cows are not) or to save forests(where cows do not live)!

Oh!
In that post I had posted just half of the information related to article 48A. I had corrected that in a post later.
"The State shall endeavour to organise agriculture and animal husbandry on modern and scientific lines and shall, in particular, take steps for preserving and improving the breeds, and prohibiting the slaughter of cows and calves and othermilch and draught cattle."

.
LOL.....so by that logic it must mean all Hindus are Murderers and Rapists.

Hence my simple question asking if Rape and Murder is banned in Hinduism.

You are simply talking for the sake of it without logic. Should stick tot he topic. It is not an organized religion with a prophet and a holy book. On what basis you will segregate what is wrong and what is right? Is watching TV banned watching film banned? such a logic less notions.
