Why Kerala has no beef with beef.

There are 400 Million cows in India. Each year this count will double as cattle farmers need to impregnate their cows for milk production. That means 400 million more calves. Naturally it would be around 50% - 50% male and female calves.
So next year you have got 800 million cattle with half of them male calves.

Also consider the non-productive ageing cattle being added to the population each year.

Within 5-6 years you would have more cows than human in India. Who will pay for fodder of uneconomical oxes, calves, and old cattle? Where will you get this much fodder?

Dont tell me that oxes can be used by farmers. This is 21st century. Most of the agricultural activities are done by tractors. No one has got time to push the ox in farm for ploughing.

These ban supporters dont even realize that it is not at all feasible practically.

how do you know that out of 400 Million cows all 400 Million cows will be breaded and how do you know that there are 400 Million cows?

Hinduism applies to hindus, not to everyone else as well. If the ban is not there, there's no one forcing hindus to eat their mata. They can keep their mata even without the ban.

Sorry. India cannot allow killing of cows anymore. India allows its minorities more freedom than is available anywhere in the world for any other minorities. If they start dancing on our head because of that, it wont be allowed. Hindutva is the essence of Indian constitution as declared by the supreme court. Hindutva demands respect for cows.

As per 2003 census India had 283 million cattle. You can easily guesstimate cattle population by 2015.

You are contradicting and changing subjects. KARMA is one of the way in Hinduism. Lord krishna and his tribe distroyed not because of cow slaughter. Now you try not to judge him by your vers ions.

If you know maths and you know that of those 283 million cattle which I presume is both cows and buffaloes, then hardly 70 million or less would be cows (female) in it. Even if all of those cows are of calf bearing age, they can add only 70 million cows per year and not 400 million as you stated elsewhere. Now given like all beings on planet with limited lifespan, a cow too dies a natural death within 20 years. So practically every year millions of cows are dying naturally of old age. So please do not trouble your head too much about India being overrun by trillions of cows.

It is true. We or at least I can afford not to eat it. I do not eat regularly ...
very rare.. When we buy in kerala we make sure that it is a buffalo not a cow.

The problem where somebody else dictating us what to eat or not. Tomorrow the Same people will tell what to wear or not . Where to go or not. What to read and not. I born a free man in a free country. THE KARMA BHUMI as per my belief. I want it as it is

Kerala imports most of its food from the neighboring states. It has no land to grow its own rice and other needs, let alone its beef. Even that land has been poisoned with the use of pesticides and other poison sprays. If your land was so fertile you should have been able to grow all your foods without fertilizers and been the highest producer of food per acre globally which you are not.
