You cannot apply the needs of a particular religion for a whole state or region, not in India. Buddhism is against harming any animals, so should there be a law to ban all non-vegetarians for the sake of Buddhism?

I am very well aware of the uses of cattle in farming and agriculture. But what do you think a farmer should do with a bull thats weak to do any work or cow thats no longer productive, if they can't slaughter it?

Similarly, there is no compulsion neither stoppage on eating beef in Islam or Christianity. Then at least they should tolerate this banning. Finally there is a law by state on hajj tourists too. That can also be debatable :)

You would want to eat old and diseased animals? hahaha, health budget barwana hai yka apna? :P

buddhist do not consider any animal as their mother. we consider cows as mother so there is difference between both.

. .
now that has been stopped, cows will not be slaughtered. :) and we will make it sure that this rule is enforced in every state, with regional relaxations and geography.

What about the greenhouse... it will sky rocket right? or a heavenly hand will find a cure?

What about the cows that have stopped milking? farmers are rich to feed them right, even when 90% of cost is on food.

Yes good days ahead and our religion is saved.

We will have millions of our Guah-matas roaming around giving us blessings every minute of the day.

They ate beef because their land was not fertile as ours, and Pakistanis ahaha forget about them.

Its is banned in Hinduism, Bhagwan Krishna has said. So try to respect our belief! And be more tolerant .please adhere secularism sir. :)

if your land is fertile then where's the problem raising cows for beef ? you can raise even more cows for meat then afghanistan etc...

So in the end, you do agree the entire ban on beef is based entirely on hindu beliefs. A law based purely on religion and such that it restricts freedoms of everyone except people from that religion. That's not secularism, that's hindu nationalism.

Disrespect to your belief would be to come out in the open and insult hinduism for forbidding beef (and who'd be stupid enough to do that, angry mobs are common in south asia). So there is no disrespect meant to hindu beliefs when someone eats beef.

similarly, alcohol is illegal for muslims in UAE, but it totally allowed for foreigners who are non-muslims. Even though their religion strictly forbids alcoholism, but they still tolerate foreigners because Islam and its law doesn't apply to non-muslims.

.
secular is letting everyone do what ever they want and not bringing religion into the matters of state.

what you have is hindu nationalist government.

I'm not defending pakistan or anything, but there they allow licenses for alcohol consumption for hindus, christians and other non-muslims. And it's a hardcore muslim (95%+muslim) country complete with a whole set of terrorist organizations and still they can tolerate a minority consuming alcohol (strictly against their religion). Offcourse there are problems(attacks on minorities etc), but alcohol is totally available to a non-muslim in Pakistan by law.

In that sense, a terrorist Islamist state is more tolerant than India, a self proclaimed secular state.
they dont consider alcohol as their mother. they dont have sentiments attached with alcohol.

keep the old cattle for generating bio gas, let them roam, simple. Finally diseased old cows and cattle should not be used for meat production. :)

they consider alcohol to be satan, yet they allow it in their country. They consider alcohol to be the greatest sins ever, yet they tolerate foreigners consuming it. They have extremely deep sentiments attached with alcohol.

yes, it is partially based on Religion and partially on economy and health, etc.

what kind of freedom? Tomrorrow you will say, you need freedom to kill Hindus who are infidel or avoid Hindus as per the book, should we grant you? Lol.

We are not here to compare ourselves with jahaliya arbis. In my land follow my rule, in your land I will follow yours :)

And connect it to national power grid..

Farmers will do it for sure ..lol

Cow bio gas units, sounds brilliant.

How its going now?

Whats the ratio of food expense Vs units of gas produced? Do u have any idea?

Even with small bio gas units and selling milk, farmers are having a hard time ... and u suggesting full grown cows to be used for just bio gas.

Thought brillianto. Post ur resume in national advisory panel.

this roaming around costs pasture. The same land is better utilized growing rice and wheat instead of letting non-productive cows graze on them. A good idea would be to slaughter them for consumption or export them alive.

Dung can also be used as manure :) . Anyways so selling a cow or cattle to slaughter house will allow them to buy Rashtrapati bhavan? Come on man what are you talking. Cattle maintain eco system, scavengers feed on their dead bodies too.

No, there is no economic/health sense in it, purely religious alone. That's not secularism, stop hijacking secularism.

Yes and that is why you keep religion strictly out of the matters of the state.

We have not hijacked secularism. There is no religious book which says feeding on on cattle is compulsory!!!, Bring me any quote from Bible, hadees, Quran, etc.

But there are books which prohibit killing in Hinduism. It is compulsory for us to ban the slaughter.

So if something which is not compulsory for Muslims or Christians , why are you dying for it? Be tolerant, and adhere 'secularism'. Respect others view :)

Dung is already being sold as manure at cheaper costs,

One more common sense.... more dung available, lesser cost of dung.

First rashtrapathi bhavan is not for sale, but they can have a better bhavan when they sell it for say around 8000 as they are doing now but is still poor. That is also common sense.
