This is exactly what's happening. They know that PTM has the potential to become another terrorist group, who's creation would be squarely put on PTI's actions, so they're using PTM as a leverage to make corruption cases go away.


You'd have to first point out what law the PTM leadership is breaking, and then prove it so that if it ever is challenged in court, the ban will be upheld. It is not an easy process, and will face many hurdles, especially since PTM now has the backing of 3 major parties (PPP, PMLN, AND JUIF).

Right now, the government and army aren't confident enough to do that.

We could use covert means to get to PTM. Just like we are doing to BLA. What will PPP and PML-N do? Cry rivers in front of UN, US and India?

NS was put in jail after an overwhelming amount of evidence against him, and it wasn't a one day thing, the cases against him ran for literally years.

Zardari has been far worse for Pakistan than NS, yet he's still out precisely because it's hard to jail political leaders, especially if there is no direct irrefutable evidence.

Most of BLA died out due to reconciliation efforts to end the conflict, military efforts only helped as a stick for the carrot of reconciliation.

I suspect that the same thing might be needed.

Individually, those parties are worthless, it's when they're united that they become a major threat. If PPP had stepped in to back PMLN, I guarantee you that NS would likely not have faced jail time at all.

TLP was only disposed of, because it's leadership stupidly called for the murder of soldiers, politicians, and judges.

PTM's leadership has so far denied that they're calling for violence, so technically, they're not breaking any laws here. As long as they stick to protests, no one can touch them. This is why DG ISPR made sure to only target the PTM high leadership in his statement, and not the mid level leadership, and certainly not the party workers.

It's the same reason why MQM is still technically alive.

Then again where is rule of Law...Its means he is being put in jail since no one protest on it..Or zardari is free because this will unite both parties to protest together? This mean one will be in jail based on its political influence? or courts are making decision on the instructions of someone else
