What's new

Why is Rahul baba still in politics ?

Rahul Gandhi is the only person standing between BJP's dream of turning India into a Hindu country.
Lol. No he is not. He is an embarrassment to the liberals. Am sure he is a nice guy to roll a joint with and would do a good job working for an NGO or something. He is just not cut from the same cloth as his great grandfather and grandmother. Even his dad was a nice guy but an idiot. He is pretty much in the same boat.

He's just not a politician.

The genocide was....
Hitler too was finally removed from power but at what cost? The whole of Europe lay in ruins. We are unfortunately looking towards a similar future here in the subcontinent

I have a different take on this. Without the Gandhis, the Congress will simply cease to exist as a national party and go the route of the Janata Dals, with each local leader running his fiefdom.

That is precisely why the BJP focuses on removing the Gandhis (and the extraordinary attention on the family in every sphere; and the focus of this thread as well). They are the only entity within the Congress that is not for sale. Everyone else can be sold and/or managed.

Brahman. Colloquial slang.
Not really. They have a pan India presence and look at their history - every couple years they used to rotate their leadership. Flush out old ideas, bring in the new.

What's amazing is the heroes the BJP has hijacked who themselves loathed the BJP and its forebears.

Sardar Patel - a Congressman
Bhagat Singh - an atheist and a communist
Bose - a social nationalist.

Who is their hero? Godse? Savarkar? It's a joke really that people buy the BS the BJP spreads.

As much as I'd like to disagree with you here (sincerely hoping that you are right, and I am wrong on this), Rahul Gandhi's presence in Indian politics is the only thorn on BJP's side.

He may be a failed politician but in October 2018, he helped Congress win three crucial states. He also helped Congress win 19% of vote in last election, lets' not forget that. 19% is not a joke for a party that is on the verge of internal mutinies and collapse.

Congress party was full of traitors and closet Sanghis like Sachin Pilot and Jyotiraditya Scindia. The party was already doomed to oblivion; Rahul Gandhi and his mother were the only ones keeping any hopes alive.

If Rahul Gandhi fades away from Indian politics, it will become a cakewalk for BJP to turn India into a Hindu Rashtra. He is really the last piece of resistance. After that, only the Maoists, desh-drohi liberals like me and external agents will remain.

It was always there in Kashmir
It's no longer about Kashmir anymore. By deceivingly changing the status of Kashmir they have pretty much openly declared that any treaty/pact made with Muslims (Indian, Pakistani or otherwise), given enough time and hindutva hubris, is null and void. We were angry at RSS/BJP for the wrong reasons

.
Brother, any Pakistani wishing for another Modi government term in India is doing great disservice to India's Muslims, as well as other oppressed people.
As I pointed out earlier, the Muslims of India are quite against Pakistan. Why voice our concern for someone who thinks so low of us?

And where is the UN, America, the EU and other Nations in regard to the other 'oppressed people'?

[Hum buray bhee hain - Terror bhe sponsor kartay hain - Aur phir hamari help bhe chaye hai o_O ]
...even Pakistan will face the heat, and suffer the consequences.
Pakistan has been facing the heat for decades. Unless India is willing to play their Nuke-card, Pakistan is quite capable to deterring India and keeping it at bay.

As a Pakistani, my views are: Suqoon say raho, aur humhay bhe chaiin ke zidagi rhnay dou.

Whatever the Indian Gov't does within India is their headache and is how they commonly state: an Internal Matter.

Fine, but Kashmir isn't - and that is where we have always stood our ground.
This is Hitler on steroids
If memory serves, I believe it was our PM who first referred/compared him to: The Furor

I think it would have been a lot higher than 19% if someone else had been put forth as a candidate. I seriously expected Congress to cross 100 seats and BJP to be saddled with about 210 ish. If Congress had kept its flock together in only two states - Andhra Pradesh and Bengal it would actually have that 100 seat figure. Pilot is not a closet Sanghi. Scindia - sure. Deora will also go at some point. Also till the Kamraj team brought back Indira, the Nehru family wasn't on the anvil to be brought back. It's not like Nehru wanted to create a dynasty.

maybe he should migrate to Lahore and contest polls from there

Don't be shocked when he converts to save his *** after Delhi falls.

Those saying Baba Baba will be in tears then for sure.

Rahul Gandhi is not just in politics, he rules india's second largest political party. And why ? because of his caste and heritage. Gandhi supported nehru over patel(who was apparently more popular) because as devout hindu gandhi felt a kashmiri brahmin hobnobbing with brits is better than a lower caste patel. And after than congress cannot imagine anyone of "lower "birth - its a very unique indian style thinking.

No. Patel was old and Gandhi wanted a young man who could lead the country for the next 15 years and was an idealist who would build institutions. Patel died before even the 1st election. Nehru built institutions and even championed opposition parties. Look at Pakistan. They wish they had a Nehru to follow Jinnah
