Why is Pakistan not developing like many countries

.
Pakistanis- corruption is the problem!
Also Pakistanis - If I pay you here in Pakistan will you send my brother $5000 so I don’t have to declare it or pay any tax

.
The biggest city of Pakistan, the only Coastal city where greater than 95 percent of trade of the country happens through the sea, which contributes more than 10 percent of GDP of Pakistan, is HELD HOSTAGE BY A PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT, ELECTED BY A RURAL POPULATION, WHERE LITERACY RATE IS LESS THAN 50 PERCENT.

HOW DO YOU EXPECT TO MOVE FORWARD WHEN YOUR ECONOMIC HUB IS BEING STRANGULTED BY A LAW ,THAT FAVORS THE RULING ELITE?

There are 8 Official Water hydrants supplying Karachi.

Each hydrant pays Rs 5 million bribe money / Batha , of which Rs 3 million goes to PROVINCIAL MINISTER and the rest goes to the bureaucracy, from top to bottom.

Rs 5 million x 8 Hydrants = Rs 40 million x 12 months = Rs 480 million / year bribe money paid by the residents of the ECONOMIC HUB of the country just for drinking water.

AND THEN YOU BECOME INNOCENT AND CLAIM HOW IS THE RULING PARTY ABLE TO BUY VOTES IN THE SENATE ELECTIONS ?

BILLIONS OF DOLLARS of DAMS after DAMS are being built to supply water to the northern part of the country , in case India stops the water supply.

But what about Karachi where sea water is just adjacent to it and you just need to install desalination plants BUT NO IT'S TOO EXPENSIVE......MORE EXPENSIVE THAN A LIFE ?

Corruption - hang the corrupt elite in public, each and every one of them

Education - increase your education standard to a high level, and make it widely accessible.

Culture - The current culture is unproductive, lazy, no accountability. Relies too much on the false belief that "God" will do everything for you while you sit on your *** doing nothing.

But no one cares to implement any of this, so it doesn't matter.

Pakistan will go to shit soon and probably become balkanised, you can fight it with military might as long as you want, but what's the point if the people have made up their mind?

No one is competent enough to lead, either they are corrupt, or either they make promises to hand everything on a plate to the citizens which in turn makes them more lazy and useless, and more demanding.

The issues most Pakistanis usually complain and cry about exist in every single developing nation, and many developed countries around the world, they are not unique to Pakistan.

I assume no-one has been living in a bubble for last few decades, so should be reasonably aware.

Other countries did not face the constant Afghan civil wars, facing two superpowers at our door step.
Millions of refuges who are still here, mixed with an explosion in drug trade and the so-called Kalashnikov culture.
Compounded by regional terrorism,
Iran/Saudi religious wars played out on the streets of Pakistan,
India and Afghanistan supporting terror groups in Pakistan.

The constant bad news in global media is not going to attract investors, and it hasn't.

Now, it is easy to mention these issues, but people do not understand the meaning behind this explanation. When you are faced with such issues, it takes time and effort to deal with them. The time that could and should be spent on normal governance, on sound policy formulation, on legislation to meet the requirements of a modern state, to discuss good relations and attract investment, all that takes time and effort.

But with those situations mentioned above, they take time away from normal governance, so the things that should have received attention do not receive the required attention. That results in lax policies, that are not thought through properly, and in many cases ignoring lot of the issues that would not have been ignored under normal circumstances.

When there is a crises in any country, the first thing happens is the people look towards the government and expect the prime minister or president to be visibly involved in handling the situation. Pakistan has been dealing with those issues for over 40 years, which left little room for normal governance, resulting in poor policies and poor legislative framework, further resulting in lowering the quality of our political leadership.

Those issues are far more connected in far more fundamental ways then we realise. Please, just complain just a little less, not by much, just a little less and spend more energies on discuss positive ideas, positive solutions.
Repetitive complaining is like going around a circle, positive ideas take you and everyone else forward.
Stay blessed.

US style presidential system and EVMs
Things will slowly fall into place

Also If establishment gets serious about economy and reforms associated with it

Than yes things will change

The simple way is to do a land reform. In India an individual can only hold 3 Hectares (7.5 acres) of land. But we have more people and less land vis Pakistan but 1000 acres of land for an individual is just too much.
Land reform is a socialist measure. In India, that step (appears) to have solved the problem in socialist set-up. But the socialism is the problem. It is not a solution.

None of this is an excuse for corruption and blatant incompetency.

Yes, there was a lot of external factors but to place the blame solely on that is disingenuous and shrugging off the real problem.

The is a difference between an excuse and an explanation, I provided a valid factual explanation.

There is also a difference between objective valuation and constant crying, I suggest it's about time Pakistanis learnt the difference, because the constant childish crying is very tiresome and boring.

The world is corrupt and incompetent, get over it.

And again, the external factors which you stated are not a valid explanation for corruption and incompetence, hence it is an excuse.

If you want to look for excuses, rather than accept the elephant in the room, then go ahead, but don't pass it off as a "valid explanation", because it's an excuse.

This is called accepting the truth, not crying, if you want change it starts with acceptance, not ignorance.

"The world is corrupt and incompetent, get over it."

This pretty much sums up the real cause for the sorry state of affairs. You are comfortable with corruption and incompetence which is why the country continues to deteriorate.

Corrupt and incompetent government who is not committed to an overall vision is the reason. Pakistan has immense potential but if it doesn't start to reform and develop, it will be left behind by even India.
Government lacking an overall vision isn't the reason. It is more likely caused by the government FORCES everyone to follow its policy, which lacks the overall vision. In another word, while the government lacks the vision, it also prohibits everyone else from having an vision.

Please grow up,
Do you even know what an excuse means?
Go learn the meaning before throwing accusations.
It's the likes of you making excuses because you do not have anything valid or sensible to add, so it is easy to repeat the same childish complaints, without evaluation.

What I explained are facts, they are detailed explanations.
Don't you dare lie to my face, when did I say I am comfortable with corruption?
It is a fact that every developing nation on earth is corrupt, I have given a bride here in the UK, I know people who can do things in the tax department, so get real. Corruption plays a role in poor governance, but it not the be all and end all.

This constant crying about corruption is nothing but excuses because the likes of you are unable to provide any valid explanations and provide sound solutions, self loathing is an ugly trait.

To your West, Iran is far below in the corruption perception index, but it is doing better then Pakistan, it is only down because of sanctions. To your East, Bangladesh is beating India and Pakistan, it is even below Iran in the global corruption ranking. It has far worse corrupt environment but still developing very well.

Other countries are not doing much better, including China which was extremely corrupt but still developed very fast, only recently they have started tackling corruption, but they managed to develop whilst there was rampant corruption. The world doesn't keep crying, they get on with it.

Corruption is not the issue, it is a contributing factor, but the issues I highlighted above are the main reasons for the lack of development in Pakistan, it doesn't matter what you believe, those are the facts, you just keep crying.
