Many Indians surprised me by saying that you Pakistanis are Arabs and invaders and so on....How come a Jat, Rajput,Rana, Raja,Khattak,Chohan,Rao,Randhawa,Baluch,Jan,Jamali,Khoso,Somro is Arab??? Yes, that doesn't make it a religious movement. The desire to form a homeland was perfectly secular, just like the Zionist desire to form a Jewish homeland. It was based on the need to protect themselves. Jinnah was perfectly happy to see a united India 30 years ago, but changed his mind after realizing what he was getting himself into.

Pakistan is not a theocracy like Iran or KSA. It has just a bunch of laws based on Islam and I hope that you do understand what theocracy is.
