The Motto of Pak Army is "Faith, Piety, to strive in the path of Allah" The Pakistan Army, started virtually from a scratch on 14 August 1947, in the face of heavy odds.
Allah’s help to the Muslims against their disbelieving enemies who wage war on them is something real and true. Allah, may He be exalted, has promised that to the believers, and has told them that it is near, and that He only delays it for certain significant reasons. The one who has strong faith and true certainty will realise that it is indeed near as the Lord, may He be exalted, has told us.
Allah, may He be exalted, says (interpretation of the meaning):
“Or think you that you will enter Paradise without such (trials) as came to those who passed away before you? They were afflicted with severe poverty and ailments and were so shaken that even the Messenger and those who believed along with him said, ‘When (will come) the Help of Allah?’ Yes! Certainly, the Help of Allah is near!”
[al-Baqarah 2:214].
Indian army is bigger in number and strength. It has some fair advantage in some of the technologies but this advantage is only in numbers.
One thing must be kept in mind that Indian army has an offensive approach while The Pakistan Army's primary posture is a defensive-offensive one. Defend across the length of the front, and take offensive where the Indian side is weaker to gain leverage in subsequent peace talks. So for the offensive you got to have a larger number.
Pakistan army consider Indian army as very professionals who know their jobs and roles well. But at the same time we have to keep in mind that both of these countries have the nuclear weapons which can clean the whole city’s population in blink of an eye. So that’s the reason why these two nations will never go out on a full fledged war. Instead they would just prefer exchange of fire over the working boundary and not the international boundary.
Both Pakistan and India are developing economies and none of them would want to start a war and go back 50–60 years so we can’t say that Pakistan ar
India has never defeated Pakistan , East Pakistan wing of the country in 1971, where Pakistani forces on the ground were outnumbered 1:4, in the air 1:7, and in the littoral waters by a margin of 1:9, completely isolated and cut off from mainland Pakistan. During the same war, the Indians, when arrayed against the Pakistani forces in West Pakistan, could not inflict any serious damage to the Pakistani forces and this has been the case in each of the wars where Pakistani defence against Indian offense has been very robust and has held up. Besides the 1971 war, every single other war/skirmish fought by these two countries has resulted in a stalemate. This was the case in 1948 skirmish, 1965 war, Siachen and even Kargil conflicts where Pakistani troops still maintain presence on some of the heights taken over.
Moving beyond the history and speaking of contemporary experience, Pakistan Army has a much more recent combat experience given the Army's active participation in GWOT where the Army has had the chance to conduct COIN, FIBUA, and Anti Terrorism operations. These operations and continuous rotations have given the Pakistan Army units very significant operational experience which is at par with that of the Western militaries conducting operations in Iraq and Afghanistan (we are finding these things out in military-military exchanges.)
Given this experience, Pakistani military institutions and training schools are constantly hosting foreign officers and troops. The equipment in use is being kept operational and serviceable given the needs of the service in the conduct of operations and the combat standard operating procedures of the units have seen a very drastic enhancement. The military's doctrine has also undergone a very significant change to now be able to cater to a broader spectrum of operations beyond LFE.
