Why Indian SSN/SSBNs are Superior to Chinese ones?

Didn't you see that AIP part?

AIP helps to stay underwater for longer periods without having to surface back.

It has to get back to port for refueling.

The SSNs can stay out in deep waters for a very long period of time.

For submarine hunting role, SSKs have much better sonar characteristics than SSNs. And submarine hunters are for defensive roles, they won't have to venture hundreds of kms away from the coastline. And for strike role, we have SSBNs.

Do you think Scorpenes can venture near Chinese coastline?

Akula is for that.

Who would Escort the CBGs?

Remember India is going to have the Second Highest Number of Aircraft Carriers in the World after United States.

Scorpene has an endurance of 60 days and range of more than 10k kms. So, it think that's well enough to support the CBG for the time being. And when you're making SSBNs, making SSNs wont be a tough nut to crack.

Off course not.

My point being SSNs are the most important part of the Sub sea Fleet.

. . .
Are we comparing operational submarine to under development. I do not like to compare like that, a bird in hand is better than two in bush.

. . .
I dare to differ boss. SSBNs strike more fear and are strategically more important for warfare.
Agreed.

This thread feels stupid, either compare Russian operational subs with Chinese (even that is kinda lame without having actual data) or dont compare anything..

When one compares a yet to be operational platform with another operational platform, it is just lame.
No data of Arihant is around, so this is super lame!

.
Chiense operates more then 50 subs. and we hardly operate 15+. They have many nuclear subs and we have only 1. So what is the point to compare with them ?
We need time to add more subs and build subs. Hope with time we ll catch them...

. . .
But chinese couldn't detect Akula when it sailed below their submarine hub in Hainan.. even after many decades their subs have a lot to perfect !!!!
