Heavily corrupted, it takes us a few seconds to distinguish an illegal Bangladeshi from a real Bengali. Hence the BD are always hooked on to Indian and Bengali media.

Same in my state also, few Bangladeshis have learnt our mother tongue and think of themselves as one of us. It is a torture hearing them converse.

Point being, our culture and history less neighbours are all trying to appropriate our heritage. And it's damn hilarious watching them go about it.

Bangla spoken by Bengalis is not consistent and varies region to region... formal Bangla that's spoken in news channels are pabna dialect if I remember correctly. @Bilal9 can correct me as I remember him talking about this and west Bengali Bangla is pure cringe... except for people from Murshidabad. as forbearing linguistic torch or legacy... Nazrul Islam and Tagore both practiced formal dialect that's spoken in Bangladesh. as for Bengalis who think they're one of you... what makes you think that's the norm? most Bengalis are well aware of their identity and are proud of it... we certainly don't need to identify with people who used to be our cooks and maids... Pure Hindi words are not mingled while speaking, like you do with English. Saying so, Keep in mind 80% of Bengali words has their origin in Sanskrit and for hindi its over 90%.
Hindi is in use in Kolkata and her suburb's because of a good amount of non Bengali population. Still govt schools do not teach Hindi. Rural bengal you will find a few who can speak hindi.

Do you know because of strong protest from Bengalis and Tamils, there is not any national language of India. Why we need to protest in 1952 and 1971, we have the right to speak and use it in all official communications. Between many in BD doesn't know that in India 15 people lost their life for Bengali language, more than 21st Feb. Google and get it.
