India has a higher literacy rate than Pakistan, India has a higher GDP per capita than Pakistan
and India has a higher HDI than Pakistan. Even Bangladesh is doing better than Pakistan.

And GDP per capita is not reliable way to show wealth of individual. GDP doesn't affect entire population. For example, Mumbai with a high East European GDP per capita. But 60% of it is in poverty slums and open defecate, and earn less than $1 a day.
