let me say it clear as goldman sachs has already said it. india will never reach the standards of western countries for atleast 80 yrs. we will keep going up the rankings in all fields and finally settle for position 2 after china by mid century. maybe we will also take them over later. unfortunately for pakistanis fate of china and india has been decided by god and will be led by us. cry die or ignore. facts are speaking for itself. poverty is decreasing with every passing year.

What's the point of this thread? There are gazillions of them on India's poverty here on PDF. It seems some just don't tire of bashing India. If they don't find anything new, they keep chewing on earlier threads in order to get that orgasm which otherwise they can't due to impotency! Sheeesh!

@bold this is true poverty is decreasing by at least 1% per FY in 1990 the population living under poverty was well over 60% today that number has decreased to about a little bit over 1/3 living in poverty.

LoL, this morbid fascintion of people with toilets in India seems that Indian potty is in pretty good demand

And for the Indian fellows reading this, please know that these attacks regarding toilets and poverty and what not will only get worse. It happens all the while when people start taking notice. When you start rising, such focus will only increase because your not having enough toilets is maing some other people dumping bricks in their potty.

Having enemies and critics is a good thing. That means that you are doing something right that the world is taking notice of. And look at the bright side in the stats.

India has 2nd largest number of telephones in the world. Means that mobile telephony in India is taking off and will just increase tremendously. Imagine the kind of investment and revenue that will bring to the country. Do you remember the crap that Huawei and ZTE were dumped with in India. Well take it from me, they had to face the music with the chin up. Only because whatever the Chinese fellows say about the toilets in India, simply their companies have to get on their knees and work with India for the mobile telephony market.

Another stat that has been the favourite around is poverty. Face it. We have a lot of it and we do not need any one else to tell us. There is a lot of improvement that needs to be done and we are on the right track. Imagine if we reduce our poor by 10%, we add half a trillion to the GDP of the country. So irrespective of the fact that China has a poverty line of 1.25 USD per day compared with India's 2.00 USD per day. Irrespective of the fact that the poor in India look pretty well off when you see the PPP evaluation versus any country in South Asia, (that will now give diarhoeaa to the jolly Pakistanis ) it is a simple fact that we have a lot of poor in this nation. And by doing the things that we are doing - better & right - we will just continue to grow less poor and more strong.

Then there will be time when the toilets and poverty will not be an issue. But.... be assured, there will be other ones by then. See why it is said that jealousy needs to be earned!

And look at the bright side. At least our potty is not in news because of amazing self imploding events

LOL, let's face the truth. India started boasting and looking down on their neighbours WAY too soon.

According to the Economist, India is 40 years behind China in terms of development indicators. Yet Indians today are constantly boasting about how they will be a "future superpower" even when they haven't yet beaten Africa in terms of poverty.

Where do you think we were a decade or more ago? Not boasting constantly like the Indians are doing now, we were trying to keep a low profile. And frankly, with your negative attitude towards everyone else, I'm glad that India showed it's true colours sooner rather than later.

its time to wake up. india is already ahead of u guys by decades. ur proud that pakistan is part of next 11.
ur ex state bdesh is also in n11 and bangladesh is overrunning pakistan in nxt 7 yrs economically growing 3 times faster(6.5). stop comparing urself with india and look towards nigeria. u might not have noticed but nigeria has recently taken over pakistan economically, lost to a poor civil war ridden black african nation and its current growth rate is 8.2%. how will u catch up with them and when?

what do u get by by reading such articles a few minutes of relief. yes we r safe india is no super power. to finish we dont need to be a superpower.

i can get u a 1000 articles which say india will be a superpower. but thats not we want. the rule of life is keep progressing at singnificant rates and thats what we do in india. pak has different aims similiar to nk.

LoL, it still beats me that why is Indian potty giving you nightmares in Hong Kong. You should be more scared about the economic and social farce that Hong Kong is purporting by stopping the mainland mothers giving birth to their children in Hong Kong. If you can have that system and still call China one country, then what is wrong with Indians going potty in the open? At least we are socially not so stumped and handicapped that we will stop mothers from giving birth in any corner of the country. Clearly the elitism has gone to your head. That is why you also look down up on the women in mainland China and do not want to share the hospitals with them. You want to keep them out and want the hospitals and the facilities for your own elite types.

Some country you have there. Do do you really look down up on the mainland mothers down too like you look down up on Indian potty

talking about toilets.... in singapore PRC guys (Chiense) are really reviled. the housing agents keep complaining to me how prc gfamilies trash the house they rent. and to identify if its a PRC house , they say, just go to the toilet. PRC people never flush apparently. and this is middle class families. So i dont know why the PRCs talk about lack of toilets in india when they dont know to use toilets themselves

guys have u read chinese_dragons's previous messages and posts on his profiles? this is a deliberate attempt to disgrace india. pakistani's start such threads again and again and then go on his profile and ask him to keep posting comments against india and dont stop until indians die. y every such thread ends up in poverty toilets bcoz it is a planned and deliberate attack on india..
