I agree that the opposition will be immense and that political point scoring would be through the roof. However, all that will die its own death with the firm resolve of a handful of people in both countries who do not care about political death but do care about the future generations and the benefits both countries will eventually reap.

A tall ask.

Another Gandhi or Jinnah would be required for that. And what are the chances of that ?

We can rue the missed opportunities and pray for an environment and strength of leaders with wisdom of their countrymen to resolve the issues and move into the spectrum of trade and commerce just like the Europeans did, who were once just as fierce as enemies as are we.

They are playing reverse psychology. Indians hate Ik and love NS. You can see that by who they want to see in power.

Especially IK rhetoric of calling out India’s hindutuva ideology.

Persecution of Indian Christians, such as in Manipur, will comeback to haunt them when when the next Republican administration is in power in the US. More anti-Muslim rhetoric will see their economic efforts ebb and flow in the Middle East and not grow as steadily as it could.

Maybe most of these events will be seen as passing events. But the global perception of India’s instability will be most likely pinned on hindutuva and IK played a role in pinning the tail on that donkey.
