Why Imran Khan idea about TTP office in brilliant?

To be honest i was also thinking did Imran Khan made a mistake by saying TTP should be allowed to open a office but i also could understand why he was saying that.

But after giving his idea second thoughts and talking with some other friends here is my view why Imran Khan's idea is brilliant. Reason is simple get them into politics , ask them to open office , sitt on table and talk , stop fighting. It will take time to change them but its only way. There are more than local ppl living in these area, ppl hiding from there goverment or from Pakistanies for there crimes as it has always been with these area.

Forget about politics and which party u belong to or even which country u are from. Can u realy think you can kill every one and take over area to live in peace ? Histroy speaks for itself after Americans leaving Afghanistan atleast most of them in 2014 it will be even harder to have any control. These groups will have even bigger area to play on and no way Afghans or Pakistan or any one else can control border.

You cant change people by force its a long time process with education etc etc.


And a suggestion to my PTI politicans please dont make comments like its 40% chance we can take control of waziristan by force etc etc. Atleast not in public.

atleast you can track some of their key people and communication by this .

Well,

Taliban Khan always had a soft corner for Terrorists and and anyway a lot of Pakistanis including a majority on this forum consider talibaboons as true exemplar of Mard-e-Momeen.

I do not see anything wrong in Ruling class of Pakistan surrendering to those whom masses consider as their true representatives.If anyone has any doubts about the inclinations of silent majority,lionization of salman taseer killer has cleared those doubts.

For those who think that TTP could be persuaded to take up politics are forgetting that there is already a Islamist political party,JI which is occupying that space.

Lets asume they are i cant say about JI but PTI is atleast killing any one like MQM ANP PPP etc and what supreme court said JI had no names in terrorits/target killer list either in Karachi. So keep that **** to ur self.

If u want to fight please joine army and go and fight with TTP....

Imran Khan idea is also brilliant since we will split these groups and there members. We can with help of locals and info from ppl who want to be part of peace can take out rest of garbage.

being in politics with guns is a lot worse than having guns and not being in politics.if they are encouraged in to the politics then first they must surrender.

Its not easy to grow out of your bias but once you do, you would find a respectable leader in Imran Khan. After all for 10+ years, Imran Khan has been the only leader who was advocating for dialogue and after wasting billions and loosing thousands, other leaders followed him and agreed to give peace a chance.

TTP is not just terrorists with guns, they have sympathizers who mistakenly consider them a solution. If you let them talk, discuss and explain why they kill girls, destroy schools or attack soldiers, you will expose them more than you are able to do now. You will actually put them on the back-foot and they will be forced to either restraint or defend their terrorism and in both cases, you will gain something. If they don't stop, they are terrorizing anyway and in such a case their office can be closed. What is at stake here? What is the fear? What are you going to do which you cannot later undo? And why not.. when the best strategy you had has failed since long. Just because you didn't support a party makes you skeptical about a solution which they have and skepticism on what grounds?

Negotiating peace will be very difficult and it is probably more difficult than undergoing military operation against them. We must realize that negotiating peace was that impossible for us that we kept fighting for over a decade and when we have finally thought about, we must understand there will be a cost to this peace and this cost is in the form of opposition which we receive from people, from suffers and victims of this terrorism. But who is asking you to drop your guns and only talk? Just like a gun, talk is also a weapon if you know its use. After all we can all learn from Chinese who believe in "Talking the talk and Fighting the fight" but both at the same time.

Afghanistan on the other hand is changing its dynamics and we in Pakistan are still toeing that Stupid American policy to kill terrorist so they may stop existing. Its killing fire by pounding Napalm Bombing and guess what, it hasn't worked, it hasn't worked for them and it hasn't worked for us. Wana try a different approach?

if a person has soft corner for ttp or any other terrorist group, it doesn't mean he is supporting that group.every political party or even the governments have soft corners for these groups, especially if they are working in other countries.
like America support syrian rebels. Pak give moral support to Kashmiri fighters. and India support BLA.
