The standard word in Pakistani society for india is "india", 99% people on street call "india" as "india" and not as "hindustan". But I have noticed a strange trend among the TV anchors and analysts on Pakistani news channels calling india almost always as hindustan, it just sounds strange to me that 99% people on the street use the word india but majority of the news media anchors use the word hindustan for the country of india. I find it really disgusting because I always feel they try to honor india by calling it as hindustan, they need to stop this rubbish behavior and adopt the word "india" as a default word to refer to the county of india as is the case with common people in Pakistani society.
Nope. India has 2 official names - "Republic of India" and its Sanskrit transliteration - "Bharat Gantantra".Official name for India in Urdu is Hindustan.
Islam as a way of life, is only a joke to those who are incapable of fathoming its depth, and following it.Look your not talking to a ignorant. "Way of life" is just a joke. So is Islam apparently. Now here is the thing. What way of life. If you can't outline it becomes all things to all men. I believe that is how your supreme court concluded. And Sanathan Dharma is the correct name. Hindu as in meaning understood today is of recent invention.
And with regards to India. It is rooted from what is Pakistan. Th Indus. If your from Chennai then you are as far from Indus as a Turk. Finally Romania is not Roman Empire. Even if the name conflates. Non of the India's we have today rooted in the land that gave birth to this name - coterminous Pakistan.
- Indiana ~ US state
- Indians [West] ~ Caribean
- Indonesia ~ formerly called East Indies
- India

Because real name is Hindu-istan. India is a derogatory name given by english men.
They gave india and indians name to barbaric clothless native people of united states when they went there.
And then in south africa they also called them indians.
Then in australia they also called native barbaric people as indians .
Newzland also had indians which englishmen killed in large numbers with superior weapons.
Same in south asia they called them as indians and the country india since they were so so many they couldn't even kill all.
Hence the british india. And indians kept the ne after independence
Muslims and jinnah proposed hinduostan when they were trying for combimed indepemdance.
Well its ur country call it india or hindu-istan its ur choice.
For us its either baharat or hindu-istan.

The simple answer to OP is that British India was partitioned into two separate countries, one decided to name itself Pakistan and one decided to name itself India. The state which decided to name itself India because they wanted to spread propaganda around the world that Pakistan is not a legitimate state as it broke off India and also to keep its masses fantasy alive of Akhand Baharat. Quaid was annoyed by this fact so he never used India instead used Hindustan.
How so?Khadiboli is now more or less the central and most influential dialect and is effectively the standard to be followed
