Why do most people on Pakistani news channels call India as "Hindustan"?

The standard word in Pakistani society for india is "india", 99% people on street call "india"
It's easier to say India than Bharat or Hindustan

And Indians themselves use the word too, otherwise you won't have names like:
Hindustan Aeronautics Limited
Hindustan Times

It is not important what indians call their country inside india. The important thing is what common Pakistanis call the country of india and that is "india" and not "hidustan" or "bharat". TV channels of Pakistan should reflect this ground reality and that is the whole premises of this thread.

Otherwise Germany is not called "Germany" by the people of Germany. The indigenous official name of Germany is "Deutschland" for the country, "Deutsch" for the language and "Deutscher" for a german man, "Detusche" for a german woman and "Die Deutschen" for all germans in general. But that would not make us to not call them Germans and their country as Germany because 100% of common people of Pakistan call Germany as Germany and not as "Deutschland".

Actually they should call them Bharat, their official hindi name.

The standard word in Pakistani society for india is "india", 99% people on street call "india" as "india" and not as "hindustan". But I have noticed a strange trend among the TV anchors and analysts on Pakistani news channels calling india almost always as hindustan, it just sounds strange to me that 99% people on the street use the word india but majority of the news media anchors use the word hindustan for the country of india. I find it really disgusting because I always feel they try to honor india by calling it as hindustan, they need to stop this rubbish behavior and adopt the word "india" as a default word to refer to the county of india as is the case with common people in Pakistani society.

Pakistan was created for the folks who didn't want to be under the absolute subjugation in Hindustan!!! Hence, it's quite an "Elhamdulillah" moment for the Hakiki Paks to utter Hindustan knowing fully well they'll never be the part of Hindustan, under the present arrangement (Congress, RSS, Hindutva etc.), again....

India is an English word, Urdu channels can be excused from using it. As for the use of Hindustan over the name Bharat, how does it not reflect ground reality considering the not so recent events

Actually they should call them Bharat
This was pretty much the practice in all news shows I have seen. Hindustan must be recent trend

Our ancestors were never "urban" people on these lands that are called Pakistan now. Our ancestors were a people scattered in small villages which were inhabited and abandoned from time to time. In good peaceful times settled agriculture flourished, in bad chaotic times the herding and grazing flourished. That is the reason our ancestors on these lands never developed any centralized kingdoms in the past. Our ancestors just didn't like urban life, they always preferred mobile active life of villages which were not permanent anyway. And yes I will remain proud of my ancestors and don't give **** to better "warrior" BS. Our ancestors never "waited" for any mofos to rule us, because ruling was taking place predominantly in the few urban centres of Punjab like Lahore, Sialkot, Multan etc. The people living in other areas never gave a damn about who was ruling and who was getting replaced in those urban centres.
One, whether you believe it or not, even village peopel were forced to give up a part of their produce to the ruling party, so stop being so ***** about being ruled over by outsiders. Whether they were british or others, they forced people like us to work together.
Second, thank you for proving my point, your people that you are so proud of, never had a sense of shared unity, shared culture or civilization, or belonging to something greater than themselves. It is with the creation of Pakistan that you had a sense of being a part of something bigger, and yet all your rants reek of the regressive mindset of your ancestors.
You would gladly divide again on the basis of ehtnicities and tribes than work together with others.

As you said we are not Indians. We are under no obligation to call them Bharat. We will call India whatever we like. Atleast calling them Hindustan is less offensive than the colourful names they give us

Wishes don't replace reality. Reality is that india is called india by 99% common pakistanis, not bharat or hindustan.

Any reason for this abusive personal attack on me? I didn't abuse you in any of my posts.

The common Pakistani also uses a lot of slang and curse words in his daily speech. Should Urdu news channels use those too, to reflect your version of ground reality? As I said use of India for Hindustan is out of convenience just like we use a lot of English words in our day to day speech rather than their Urdu equivalents

This isnt about you per se. This is about pakistanis being proud of their tribes so much so that they start sounding like separatists. Sorry for that btw.

You have proven your lowliness in that post without any personal attack against you from my side.

Lol, stop fooling around and tell us the real meaning of the word Hindu. Lol according to Lughet-e-Kishwari a Persian dictionary published in Lucknow in 64 it means chor (thief), dakoo (dacoit), raahzan (waylayer), and ghulam (slave). :D

But Persian traders traded with the Hendis way before Mughals appeared.
