Why China will chose India over Pakistan

Exactly right.

Geopolitics ensures that China and India will never become allies, it is just not possible.

There is also far too much mutual distrust and dislike between China and India.

To sum up... the idea that China will choose India over Pakistan, is nothing more than a dream.

Awesome..Coming straight from Chinese premier..

clap clap clap

or may be not.. But I can see your frustrated..

their is nothing wrong with what CD mentioned,India and China r never going to b allies, geopolitical situation will never allow it to happen

Though strategic interests differ from economic interests

China and India already r good economic partners just like dozen more countries which perceive china as an enemy though have increasing trade levels

I perfer these kinds of threads, where people of they own nation, criticise they own nation, as no one know they country better then the people who origin is from that nation.

Then rather have Indians bashing Pak, and Paks bashing India threads.

.
I hate to say this as a Pakistani but, in the long term, I see China abandoning Pakistan in favor of India. The reason is simple: Paksitan is pursuing the exact same failed policy with China that it did with the US.

Pakistan/China cooperation is strictly limited to military and governmental levels. There is very little people-to-people contact and almost no cultural exchange. The relationship is one of 'colleagues, not friends'.

India, on the other hand, is using its soft power to build a positive image amongst the Chinese masses. As China becomes more democratic, it will tilt more and more towards India.

This is exactly what happened in the US. While the Pakistan military enjoyed a cozy relationship with the Pentagon, India was busy buying politcians and working on a grass-roots campaign within the US.

Clueless as ever, the Pakistani government is pursuing exactly the same myopic and limited relationship with China. And there is no effort from the Chinese side to expand the relationship either.

The other main factor is that, instead of being a strong self-sufficient ally, Pakistan is becoming more and more like a destitute friend who needs to be propped up. Right now, China is facing subtle resistance and resentment from the West and it sees Pakistan as a symbolic gateway to the resource-rich Muslim world. Once China is firmly in the driver's seat, will they want to associate themselves with a perpetually sick friend like Pakistan because, let's face it, the feudal-military alliance leading Paksitan has absolutely no interest in a stable, strong Pakistan. They are strictly interested in a short term strategy of lining their own coffers while they are in power and then running away to some foreign country.

China will always choose Pakistan.
Pakistan can offer what no other country can offer to China. It can provide oil and gas route ( in peace time or especially in war time, when US or India will cut its oil supply from the gulf ).
Gwadar gives Pakistan strategic advantage in time of naval blockade of Karachi. Same is the logic with China, Gwadar can provide strategic immunity to China in wartime with US or India, which can block chinese oil supply.
Strategically, China is dependent on Pakistan.
Pakistan can get everything which China offers , from other sources. But , China can not get Gwadar ( read , safe oil and gas route ) from any other source.
Strategic needs ignore everything else.

in response to your videos. what does the next door neighbor China give to Pakistan?

1. security to Pakistan's national security.

2. security to Pakistan territorial integrity.

3. security to Pakistanis' lives.

4. security to Pakistan's progress and development.

5. security to Pakistanis' opportunities.

6. security to Pakistan stance over Kashmir.

7. security to Pakistan's image as a respectable dignified nation.

how much money can buy these items? i'm not mentioning free flood relief funds and assistance or eye cataract surgeries or scholarships for students pursuing higher studies in China. that is a friendly gesture from China to its brotherly ally Pakistan. total population of China and Pakistan 1.5 billion and1.5 billion brothers can shake the world together. and they will. :china: :pakistan:

now judge what the far away US gives to Pakistan and what it takes from Pakistan.

I am optimistic that sanity would take over your comprehension capabalities and you would change your views regarding Sino-Pak relationship after present visit by his highness Wen Jiabao. These 6 months might have helped you to change your views which are mostly based on assumptions and self assumed prophecies.

Friend, do not blame Developereo, I very much appreciate his frank, his attitude to all as a reality, which is good for Pakistan, which is good for the relationship between China and Pakistan, we need to be frank, in fact, I have the same concerns as our communication is not enough, it is true, no problem. However, overall economic exchanges and trade is the best way to communicate, so I do not think that there is a big problem, but that really need to work together. Frank is the first step.

Can only say that our government is too breathless to work, there is no news for ordinary people. But, ok, so long as it is good to both of us, fine with me.

.
Can not say that there is no sound, can find some signs, but that such a large scale even more than my judge.

By the way, this is a very good thread, I just read it, very good.

China does not give Pakistan free aid like USA, because its not cost effective for the clever chinese people.

By doing infrastructure and projects in Pakistan, Chinese firms actually employ more Chinese workers then Pakistanis(or 50/50), so China will get some of the money back in forms of income tax, as well as keeping employment high.

.
China has given financial assistance free aid, but not most, do not you watch the news? China will certainly hire more Pakistanis.

I think recent visit of Chinese delegation has cleared all doubts if there were any. I am sure Developereo will agree that China has not changed at all. The friendship of China and Pakistan is as strong as ever and if possible has deepened. :pakistan::china:

40% of Chinese worker in Pakistan, which is meant to be free aid, is still a lot of money saved by Chinese Tax people.

Free money like USA, will be served much better, in a nation, where corruption is lower, so for this case, if 30 or 60% of people are Chinese, it will also benefit China as well as Pakistan.

Not to forget Chinese people must of also designed the project as well and benefit from experiance and learning etc as well.
