Why Can't Boys/Men Cry?

But I mean, if there is some serious kind of problems in a man’s life why can’t he cry in front of even his family? I have seen families saying “Mard bano”. Why?
because people(people not me) think it makes them more feminine and too emotional to handle the tough situations hence the term mard bano to snap them out of it.

Well some do look at it from this perspective
In a tense situation you are expected to be the tall tree that endures the waves not the one that crumbles under heir pressure

But I have seen women never crumbling even in severe situation and handling it courageously.
I think emotions are gender-less. :p

That’s what I’m saying, that’s not being girlish. It should be all fine for males to cry if feel shattered

i never opposed it.heck i love it when people confide in me.
but i myself who is the firm believer of sharing my problems with others will seldom cry in front of any other not because i think it makes one weak or unmanly but because that state is just too vulnerable and private for me to share it with someone.

.last time i remember that i cried was before the death of my grandfather and that too because i couldn't see him in pain no more.

I didn't cried on my grandfather death, but when i went to tell my sister. I was unable to do so by just the thought that if i tell her she is going to cry. Bas unka rona na dekh sakne ki wajha se me bata b nahe saka or unky 3-4 dafa pochny kay bawjood wapis lot aya. Unko majboran bhai ko call karky pochna para hua kia hay.

But if a girl cry in a group of people no one will take it strangely. But if a male does the same, it would be taken as a “weak” man.

Society be like ; If you are a man and you cry. We will surely judge you.

Male population of a society would be more attentive (and may be sympathetic too) to a crying man than a crying woman. At least that would be my first response .......... roz ka rona dhona aur kabi kabar ka rona dhona is different ........

As I quoted to hell hound. Even many girls keep their tears private.

I wouldn't say it's about being strong or weak, but rather that a man crying in public makes people uncomfortable in most societies, so men won't do it.

So to hy.

That even done by a girl would be taken annoyingly.

I am referring to roz ka rona dhona of females as a normal thing ......... society would take it as normal, however in case of a male crying in public would come as odd and would win more attention and sympathy.

Conduct a social experiment on this ......... in a Pakistani society.
