The average American is far more productive than the average Chinese and it’s not close.

Not so fast. I have lived and worked at both places. There is a lot of good and bad about China, the bad they won't mention much unless one sees it as a foreigner, and the same goes for the US. Many people in US are not willing to even work. In China, despite majority not being the smartest of types, yet they have such a large working class labour that even if they put 20-25% effort, they will go places and that is pretty evident by some of the cities you see.

I have seen homeless people in USA and China, US is far more documented. The most I saw recently was at Xi'an.

This thread is not about who is pre-eminent superpower or not, it is about a member from China very much concerned about homeless situation in the US.

I personally know some vet felt on hard time after coming back alive. The government didn't give them enough resource to reintegrate into society, and that is a problem since Vietnam, and has not changes since subsequent VA secretary.

One big reason for lack of housing is simply NIMBYism...which is understandable if your main asset is your home.

In the past low income housing was pushed into poorer areas where residents were not as vocal. Of course homeless advocates are against that. So there is a stalemate.

That is the point. According to 'Chinese statistics', if something is not recorded, that thing does not exist. So since the US records and publishes just about everything, the US is the worst country in the world. Never mind the long lines of Chinese wanting to enter the US and becoming US citizens.

The vast majority of homeless in America are alcoholics, drug addicts, or people with mental health issues which doesn’t allow them to keep a job. Some even choose to be homeless.

So why arent the "alcoholics, drug addicts, or people with mental health issues" in other countries like Canada, UK, Norway etc homeless like the are in the US? you're victim blaming- do you make money from the govt? i bet you do...smh...US govt doesnt help its citizens enough, and now, IT IS SHOWING, you can keep being in denial.

Both Canada and the UK have a higher homeless rate than the US as a percentage of population. Only Norways is better.
