Best time for Turkey and Azerbaijan to bridge the land gap now while Russia is busy in Ukraine.

Invasion of Armenia and holding its territory would create long term problems for both countries as Armenians themselves would not be willingly part of either of those countries. Perhaps a population exchange and some territorial exchange could work out...
Nagorno-Karabakh(mainly Armenians) territory in Azerbaijan...and the Azerbaijan territory split from the mainland...would work well for population exchange.

Wow - did not realise there was such a big Azerbaijani community in Iran. If Azerbaijan uses the "Russian" view of the world - then they are within their rights to invade those portions of Iran an occupy it. Hold a referendum and annexe those terrorities.

Given Irans support of this very principle in Ukraine by Russia's attempted annexations - i am sure they will see the logic of this also being applied for the Azerbaijani community in Iran..

Totally agreed, Russia is busy and it has no capacity left to do anything elsewhere. Azerbaijan and Turkey should seize this opportunity and make the most of it.

Why even to seize more territories when those territories aren't theirs. That's expansionism and colonialism. You want a new massacres and even a new genocide?

I am only talking about Nagorno Karabakh.

Hopefully the central asian Muslim countries will experience more freedom of religion and will be able to remove Russian influence dictators. Russia needs to lose power to a great deal so Muslim countries can break free of their clutches. @PakFactor @khansaheeb

Mostly all Central Asian countries are secular. You look at Turkey, we say that Turkey is muslim country but when you look at the % of religious people they are a minority. They say that they are muslim but it is more culturally muslim rather than religiously muslim.

I am only talking about Nagorno Karabakh.

Ah ok. But to Turkey to take this territories it must attack Armenia because there is borders between Nagorno Karabakh and Turkey. So I could imagine Turkey helping more Azerbaijan.

Turkey is secular but it has the religious freedom.

The central asian countries that were under Soviet Union were oppressed to remove their religious identity, that's why they are secular now. But given they get freedom, Muslims have a tendency of coming back to their religion. Same thing happened in Turkey, after AK party came to power religious observance increased in Turkey manifold.

Ah ok. But to Turkey to take this territories it must attack Armenia because there is borders between Nagorno Karabakh and Turkey. So I could imagine Turkey helping more Azerbaijan.

Not Turkey but Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan should use this opportunity to take full control of Nagorno Karabakh and Turkey and other Muslim countries should help them, the Russians can do nothing at this stage, this is a great window of opportunity.

True but rn we can see again another wave of secularization in the new election (2023 elections) by the CHP and other secularist parties. Did you know that Erdogan told to Egypt to be secular hahahaha.

The point is there is a great chance now for Azerbaijan to regain the territory that rightfully belongs to them. Same deal in central Asia where Russian influenced dictators will have less power as Russia is weakened and will be more weakened and isolated in the future, this represents an opportunity for Muslims of Central Asia to remove them and institute religious freedom.

Exactly for me, any countries must to mix between religion and secularism. Because religion is most likely to be the identity and the history of a country.
