What's new

Why are Indian Muslims using the Arabic word ‘Ramadan’ instead of the traditional 'Ramzan'?

Is this a joke? The religion itself is Arabic, the holy book is in Arabic, so what's wrong with using an Arabic word?
technically nothing but it is indication of trend towards radicalization. Locals even when they follow foreign religion keep their age old practices & culture alive. But when they start become puritanical they will conflict between existing & new. Next they will start question local practices, dress codes...etc and it goes down hill.

. . . .
Two word: Wanabee Arabs.

Muslims of Indian subcontinent are slaves of Arabs, and I am not saying this to spite someone. Any Muslim who is honest to himself ,yet not a wanabee Arab, could see this.

i guess you are getting it wrong. It is called Bakar Eid. Yes there is not that much space in Baar and Eid when pronouncing it. :)

Call it whatever u wish. You can even call it Halloween! Why would my feelings be hurt?

Yes we do say Eid ul Adhaa, because we don't want to hurt your feelings.

Baqarah basically means Cow in Arabic. Rest you are smart to understand.
