Who will survive ultimately: Hindu India or Secular India?

.
India has never been a secular country in the first place. Religion defines laws here, more so in minority communities. We hope a uniform civil code (opposed by left extremists) will help India march towards secularism sometime in future.

Not really!

As india turns hindutva and secularism dies a uniform civil code is all about a hindutva narrative of reducing the space for minorities

None

India's destiny lies in either being a superstitious black hole like the most untouched parts of Africa or in being a atheist, rationalist society like Japan, albeit much less prosperous

One thing people fail to get again and again:

Hindu, Muslim and Buddhist countries (not the Mahayana ones) are in a life and death struggle to understand whether supernatural, magical worldviews are true or scientific materialist, rational worldview is true

This struggle has accelerated since the birth of the Internet inspite of the recent popularity of religion tinged pseudo-science and pseudo-history

A country becomes great when the top half/25% of its population rejects belief in afterlife and sees this life as the only shot at existence they will ever have

Which one will it be though? Were Hindus pushed hard in the name of pseudo secularism so much that they don't believe in this myth anymore?

It's a mass catharsis Ranjeet.

At the pain you've self inflicted on yourselves for a thousand years.

You need someone to blame.

And take out your anger and frustration on.

Cheers, Doc

India is going through an identity crises, like all other nations do in their history at least once. It would be interesting to see how it plays out, but I truly do believe that the current Secular system will be relegated to the dustbins.

There was a point in time when I used to look up to the model of Indian secularism, which in itself is not anti religious but accommodates all religious groups, and considered it a worthy model of governance. But it seems to be slowly crumbling. Very unfortunate.

You clearly have been watching Indian news channels. Your intentions are to troll, but let me tell you, uniform civil code may also affect laws such as beef ban.

The only true secularism is to be anti-any ideology that thinks human consciousness survives death and miracles can break Laws of Physics.....

India's secularism lets people to retain their irrational beliefs in their mental cupboard without ever actually taking them out and examining them

It is sham secularism

If India's government and people donot have the same mindset towards religious/non-scientific ideas as the Chinese and Japanese have, India is destined for mediocrity for the next 50-150 years

You are perfectly on the spot here..
Hindus are the biggest traitors to Hindus. You won't find this phenomenon in any other religion.

When I read our history of the last 1000 years, I am reminded of the story where, a guy ignores bandits killing everyone ELSE in the village, thinking it does not affect him....Only to wonder why no one is helping when bandits attack his house - knowing very well there is no one else left to help him.

Secularism is dead in india.

It is destined to become a hindu banana republic as Muhammed Ali Jinnah always predicted :pakistan:
Have you ever read about Kalam Azad predictions on Pakistan?

By the way we thank "demon" for partition & safeguarding many future generations.
