I love heroes. I grew up with many in the sixties and seventies. Today they wouldnt even qualify. Ches more likely to be held in Git-Bay as a dangerous terrorist. Jim Morrison will be on trial for heroin addiction. Polanski will be in jail as a rapist and paedophile. Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu would be held as an illegal alien accused of forced religious conversions. Ingmar Bergman, like Bjorn Borg, will be in prison for tax evasion. So will John Lennon and Yoko Ono for vulgar exposure.
Subhash Bose would be held for raising a private army. Gandhi will be in trouble for his quirky experiments with brahmacharya, Bankim Chandra for fomenting communal tension. Allen Ginsberg will be in prison for smoking up; Andy Warhol for pornography; Bobbie Fischer as a deranged anti-national; Danny the Red as a Naxalite; and Bob Dylan for walking the streets aimlessly.
