I hope you realize that they are not so different in that regard to any of my ancestors or present flock. Bringing up one innocent girls murder does not make them any different than us or even the western nations who have made wholesale slaughter of their populations during the civil wars and world wars. This is the cause of tribal and religious ignorance. Both of which are slowly fading away in developed countries and hopefully should leave our doorstep in the coming century as well.

Yezidi religious purity is maintain through caste system and other social restrictions/ taboos e.g food, contact with non Yezidis, similar to the Hindu caste system

They have been prosecuted 73 times by the Muslims , you cant blame them for their taboo - not to have contacts with Muslims can you ?

They are perhaps the descendants of Mittani kingdom.
They do have many customs similar to hindus, peacock is not found in middle east only in India,They worship the sun

There was also the German Yazidi Girls killed by her brothers because she was in a relationship with a German. So how many we don't know about. Not saying that they deserved to be murdered by ISIS, however they surely are not a "Gentle" Community as the world is trying to paint them to be. Extremely Xenophobic.
