BTW, did you hear about John Henry wanting to change Yawkey Way to another name because of the name being associated with the ultimate racist owner in Major League Baseball? The Red Sox were the first team to have a chance at integrating with Jackie Robinson and ended up being the last team to integrate. Many parts of this city have quite the history of a racist reputation. Because of that well-known Red Sox racist legacy, many black, free agent ball players put "no-trade" clauses in their contracts specifically to the Boston Red Sox. Barry Bonds during his home run record years was one of many who spoke out about having that clause and never wanting to come here because of that.
