China's claims to the South China Sea dates back to the Qing Dynasty. Many of the other SE Asian countries have claims that are equally as expansive and their claims are far newer. Also, Vietnam controls most of the disputed islands as a matter of fact and the status quo has largely been maintained for decades. So I wonder why the sudden interest in this issue on the part of the US?
The reality is that the leadership of the US has been on a power trip using their unipolar moment for the last three decades indiscriminately bombing and destabilizing most of the non-Western world and causing millions of deaths as well as tens of millions of refugees and untold suffering.
The fact that there is now a peer power that will likely be even stronger than the US scares the living shit out of them and they are acting in desperation right now trying to sabotage China, throwing everything AND the kitchen sink at it. They know a multi polar world means their reign of terror is over.
However, you know what the real scary part is? I don't think Americans really have a goddamn clue the can of worms their completely idiotic, corrupt and pathetic leadership has opened. We are talking about a massive country with the world's second largest land area, the world's largest population, the world's largest industrial base, a peer competitor to the US in cutting edge technology with the momentum of taking the first place in years as it graduates 5 million STEM engineers a year, the world's genetically highest IQ base and a homogeneous and nationalistic population that will fight with the dedication, ferocity and fanaticism of the Taliban if their nation and race is endangered. Anybody with a realistic and logical understanding of this country would not want it as an enemy. But we are talking about people blinded by hubris and racial supremacy, of course.
Yep. The scary part is that with the aggressive campaign against China, throwing everything at it, from the fake Xinjiang genocide claims to the Hong Kong riots to Covid, to the daily demonization of the Chinese race which has only resulted in people with the faces of you and me getting attacked in this savage society, that the US has actually used up almost all of its cards while China has not used up any card. China once feared the US, but not anymore. Through these attacks, it has realized that it is actually the more powerful country and the US is not to be feared. So now, China is like a predator, just biding its time. That's the reality of the situation today. It didn't have to be this way, but the Whites and Jews, blinded by racial supremacy, picked on the wrong race to **** with.
