Can't compare the two China is in it for the money, if Pakistan can't pay back the loans they are in a lot of trouble and China does not do anything out of the "goodness" of it's heart, trillions of $$$ have been "loaned" to Pakistan and China are better friends than India is with Japan. Now this bullet train project that Japan has helped India with, even this isn't free, India will have to pay Japan back even if it is at only 0.1% over 50 years, so Japan are still making money on it. But it's a good thing that India has the backing of the original makers of the bullet train, a perfect safety record is world beating stuff, in anyone's language.

Just this one deal and we all know why they do that, to ally with India to contain China, they did nothing for India in the past now they are wooing India for fear of China. You will see how this marriage of convenience work . Now you can still choose to ally with declining Japan but they already chose their side. Japan won't be a friend of Pakistan because of US and India, you better wake up to this fact.

Sorry this a factually incorrect, Japan has been helping India for decades now, so you need to get your facts right.

It's like some kids are always in awe of others. If the neighbourhood kid has a bicycle, he needs a mountain bike to show off. For Japan it is a different story altogather ... they have a negative interest rates in Japan hence if you have money in your saving account it will get reduced ..

Issue is with Japan is shrinking economy and if they dont produce they will have to shut down the industry which means lay offs ... by these type of financing they are ensuring they can conitnue running the manufacturing facilities and as for Japanese banks they have negative interest rate it means they are still investing it on a profit ...

Remember all of these industries of japan are capital intensive and require a minimum level of production ... for example a steel manufacturing furnance if goes on shut down of even few hours has to reinvest millions of dollars to restart hence they have to keep on producing steel no mater they have buyer or not and now as they have produced they need it to sell someone atleast above the marginal cost and here is what they are doing ...

Lol Japan is playing the same old trick to India as they did with China: in 1990s they provided China credit with low interest rate at condition we buy their tooling machines but China realized later that it cost much higher than made in Germany , Unless China provide India the assessment of the cost of high speed train if it's build by China, India will never know the real cost but to pay what Japan will ask...and I don't think China is stupid enough to provide India with such information.

If anyone think China is ripping of Pakistan, they are welcome to compete over CPEC projects, China doesn't hold exclusivity.

I really don't care that India is doing business with Japan or cozying with it but don't drag China just to get our attention. China has so much projects books in Africa, central Asia, we're not dying without India, doing business with Africa and else where is much easier than with India.

Kenya standard railway built by China is a good example of the cooperation and we will extend this railway to neighbor countries of Kenya.
