Which space launch systems are better? India or China

It is more interesting to see the sino-US race. BTW Japan have a aging population and a stagnant economy and so are not involved in space tech that seriously. That doesn't mean that they are inferior in tech than a country like India.



We don't want to humiliate our motherland by comparing with your country. Bangladeshis look up to E.asia as model for development. We don't have 700 million people without having proper sanitation
and 50% below poverty. We also don't have the rape capital of the world. Compare your selves with zimbabwe or congo.

Offcourse china has the edge and will always have the edge. Why are you even comparing china with a country like india. China looks up to the US. If you have to compare chinese tech , compare it with US,Russia and Japan. Do not malign china by comparing them with India.

we will know in time.. Indian programme is way better then Chinese programme... minus the hype and propaganda of china, space agency, ISRO is much better agency with much more accolades and potentially more innovation and ability of the being the best space agency in world in future.

I don't think China set up a goal to orbit/analyze mars.

India looks up to a super advanced atlantian country called Bangladesh.

I dont understand the purpose of this thread. PSLV is Indian rocket that is a very good releiable rocket. The new gslv mk3 is what will make India a true space power. LVM3 can take 10 tonnes to space and the lvm 4 and 5 will take over 15 tonnes to space. Hopefully it will happen in 2013.
The rocket is already built and is on launch pad.
Chinese heavy rocket today is lm 3b which can take 12 tonnes to space. Chinese rocket is liquid fuelled while Indian new rocket is solid fuelled.

China is ahead of India, no doubt about that. They have much more capable program. But i dont think India is behind as people here say. This website is for India bashing and nothing else. A bangladeshi commenting here makes it even funnier....lol:

On topic, China today stands far ahead in human space travel not much ahead in launch system and satellite building and scientific payloads. Both countries collaborate with the world and are moving ahead.


India this year or next will test its new 2000kn semi cryogenic engine and the new satellite control centre for mk3 is ready.

Irnss 1 will be launched nxt year which will be Indian gps equivalent. Last launch of this satellite failed.

2 failures in a row have blown Indian confidence but not killed it.

we have discovered water on moon

we have done 10 launches with one rocket.

we have much more safee space programme.

we are about to go to Mars.

we have much better resolution satellites then chinese.

we have failed in heavy lift capability (which we will make up in few years)

So only thing China is ahead is in pumping dollars and faking space walks. Otherwise ISRO is much much better.

More number of satellites (they have more dollars nothing to do with technology)

Space Walk maybe (but India will achieve Mars mission which is more superior TECHNOLOGICALLY then space walk)

as I consider Mars Mission to be more Technologically Challenging then space walk.

see, America sent their research equip with Indian moon mission even after many decades of its own moon landing...so, the tech has been evolving and if u r not going to use the tech in hand to destroy the capability of others to explore, u r bound to see a set back!
