Transportation now is the priority for Guizhou. No communication with outside, no development. I think Guizhou is on the right track, Guizhou-Guangzhou HSR is already open, and late this year Guizhou-Shanghai HSR will be inaugurated. They will help boost tourism in the remotest corner of Guizhou.

Congjiang County, Guizhou Province
Congjiang HSR railway station

No enough HSR cars have limited this line's capacity(only 9 trains from Guiyang to Guangzhou daily, among them just one stops in Congjiang)

Some migrant workers went back to Guizhou by HSR this spring festival instead of by expensive bus or dangerously riding a motorbike

Must be due to the mountainous terrains making infrastructure building more difficult.

. .
Without economy support from the central government, it's not easy to build traffic & transportation system in GuiZhou province.
75% of GuiZhou land is mountains and hills.

HSR lines and expressways in Guizhou will never achieve profitability. But for social equality and economic development, central government got to take full responsibility.

I thought it was Tibet.

The living standard of Tibet is better than many inhand provinces. because Tibet only has 3 million population,

Tourism industry alone can make their living much better.

Last year, Tibet's tourism revenue was 4 billion USD

not for GDP per capita.

The living standard of Tibet is much better than Guizhou

Without a good and efficient traffic & transportation system, it's hard to develop local economy ... 要想富,先修路. Especially building roads & rails in such mountain province, cost up it needs huge funds support from BeiJing central government.

In the past, Guizhou people mostly went to Eastern provinces to look for jobs. Many migrant workers in Jiangsu, Zhejiang are from Guizhou.

Look like Lang Son, Vietnam.

Guizhou has no advantage of a border or coastal province

FOUR BILLION USD!? It must have benefited a lot from Qinghai-Tibet railway and the newly opened Lhasa-Shigatse line.

That's why it needs stronger supports from central government.

Without a good and efficient traffic & transportation system, it's hard to develop local economy ... 要想富,先修路. Especially building roads & rails in such mountain province, cost up it needs huge funds support from BeiJing central government.

Guizhou is on the right road. By 2014, expressway length is 4000km. The goal is
6横7纵8联4环线高速公路规划网(expressway network of 6 horizontal lines, 7 vertical lines, 8 branch lines, and 4 rings), nearly 7000km in toal.

It's good for GuiZhou province ... but for the poorest province in China, such huge project will cost huge money, they strongly need BeiJing's support.:agree: Anyways GuiZhou did a right way, good luck to them.

Is it in Guizhou?
No, pic of other developed province in China.
