What is the technological Leap between Agosta French Submarines vs the stuff we are getting from China are we talking about reduction in generational capabilities of the newer Submarines is higer (i.e life at sea, ability to remain hidden in oceans and ability to attack silently while submerged)

The sad part is we never enhanced the Agosta Project from 3 Submarines to at least 6 in last 20 years , otherwise that project was also quite worth a mention in it's time in 90's

It's difficult to say because we don't know the exact configuration or even design of the Hangor (II). It's speculated to be a variant of the S26 (likely), so we are looking at a double-hull design, which helps with reducing detectability and creating a buffer between weapon launch and pressure hull. Stirling AIP should be fine for increasing undersea operation (without snorkeling). In general, I'd say it is a decent jump over the Agosta 90B, but there is the question of electronics (as the Agosta 90B are being upgraded with current European systems). If the Chinese have closed the gap in that regard, then the Hangor (II) will be solid, especially if the CM-302 can be had too.

Hi bro it’s not about enhancement of Agosta I’m not saying they shouldn’t but then French won’t let us but SLCM or any other locally built missile so we can say they have started the s20 kind of project late but at least there is something coming for PN specially

Will HQ-7 will be replaced with VLS SAM (although will require massive changes in structure of ships)?
