Preparations for developing FOBS weapons are so advanced, that rockets have been launched by both Iran and North Korea on several occasions, with trajectory heading similar to that of future FOBS missiles.

BENGALURU: The first crewless flight as part of the preparations for the ambitious Gaganyaan project originally planned for this year and then pushed to the first half of 2021 due to Covid-19, will now only happen at the end of next year. Isro will eventually also launch a second crewless flight, now scheduled for 2022 before launching humans into space.

Isro chairman K Sivan told TOI that the process of human rating is progressing well and is expected to be complete in the second half of next year. TOI was the first to report the postponement of the crewless/unmanned flight and also the fact that the human mission too is likely to miss its original deadline.

As part of the unmanned flight, Isro plans to send a humanoid (developed indigenously). In June, when it became clear that the first crewless flight won’t happen this year, Sivan had said: “Whether we will launch two unmanned missions next year will depend on the emerging situations, we will have to decide based on what happens in the coming months. If Covid effects continue further, we may have to revisit some of our plans.” It is now apparent that Isro will only be able to launch one crewless flight next year.

Indeed, the image published is representing a space shuttle, indicating its role in manned missions.

But this is not new from Iran. An Iranian Space Shuttle has previously figured prominently in a huge graphic that was displayed during the month of January 2019 in Tehran's Valiasr Square.

This second iteration signals the near fruition of the Iranian manned space endeavour, that is, enough to reach the disclosure to the public:

• It is fitted with two strap-on boosters, similar to the Sarir-C.

• The core booster is larger, and painted mainly in white color.

• The shuttle itself and the other rockets show also partly a new color scheme never used before by Iran. The reddish orange has only been displayed once before: during the parade of the North Korean Hwasong-16 ICBM.

This can not be mistaken, as the strong message sent to the world is that both nations are continuing to cooperate in developing more powerful space launchers, such as the first Atlas-Mercury-class rockets (Sarir-C), and beyond, the Long March 2F-class 3-seaters manned rocket (Safir-4)!

This means it is the opposite that is true, and that the U.S. owes all its first generation Redstone and Jupiter rockets to foreign stolen (captured) technologies and the abduction of thousands of German engineers and scientist (Operation Papaerclip).
