Which is the leading country in ASEAN and why?

It has the population,economy,industry,resources,minerals etc.
Indonesia will be a top ten economy in the future.

Personally i agree with the Viets, Indonesia is NOT the leader of ASEAN and there won't be any leader based on my expectation. In my opinion our little communist brother can surpass Indonesia in certain areas too. I've seen some of Vietnam's development and comparing that to Indonesia it's probably better from my point of view.

I chose Singapore because of these factors:

1) GDP per capita of 52,000 USD
2) SGP is net creditor nation--ranked 6th in the world , other ASEAN countries are debtor nations
3) SGP manage one of the biggest SWF in the world with $350 USD billion
4) 16 SGP companies are in the Fortune Global 2000 list.
5) Indonesia's richest people are non Indonesian.

Its a clear cut differences, there is no countries in Asean which is became parts of the largest 20 countries economically in the world not even the sophisticated Singapore and oh wait we found one....

Singapore is very developed and known internationally for their economic success, indonesia on the other hand is a powerhouse when it comes to exporting maids.

I don't think some countries have very good IQ or PISA results. I have confidence in Vietnam.
