Where will Bangladeshis go after Bangladesh dissappears due to Global Warming? [Serious Video]

.
These reports are silly, we could have two more countries polluting as much as India and waterlevels would unlikely rise much more than 10 cm by 2100. Thats nothing to scoff at but a completely different picture than these clickbait reports portray. The numbers these articles cite are absolute high end and disputed estimates. The errosion of riverbanks over the course of decades they show is a natural phenomenon and has nothing to do with global warming either and dredging is a whole different issue.

For a couple of months I have been swamping the forum with mentions of the under-development Nano Diamond Battery which produces electricity through a Carbon-14 radioactive core. :D

This battery tech can be used in almost all applications - from a heart pacemaker to a cell phone to a clothes iron box to a lamp to spacecraft.

The designers claim that by 2040 their tech will enable removal of all current power infrastructures like power stations, cross country high tension power lines, city substations, neighborhood transformers and power lines etc. The designers also claim that their tech, depending on the application of the battery, the battery will last from nine years to 90 years to 28,000 years.

The big companies who manufacture components for current power generation methods will be very angry.

Website.

And you should read this interview of NDB people in which they speak about first prototypes, pricing, battery life and other things.

From Wikipedia:

"Currently no known prototype uses 14C as its source, there are however some prototypes that use nickel-63 (63Ni) as their source with diamond semiconductors for energy conversion which are seen as a stepping stone to a possible 14C diamond battery prototype."

So I would say we should temper our expectations accordingly...We are not even at the Proof-of-Concept stage yet

Well yes. So let's wait for the prototype from NDB. There is another interview from the same news agency as the interview of NDB. The second one is of a new British company who were a spin-off from a British university who was among the first in the Western world to think of using Carbon-14. The British company's leaders were skeptical of NDB's claims of a miniature nuclear battery that can replace the Lithium ion ones in cell phones in terms of form factor.

But I will still eagerly await NDB's prototype the same way I am waiting for the Starship's possible orbit around Mars in 2024 ( or 2026 ).
