Pakistan is obviously quite poor and impoverished but not as much as people make it out to be. But sending videos of cities like Lahore and Islamabad and presenting them as if it represents the average lifestyle and city in Pakistan is bit of an overstretch.guys yall really think we are Afghanistan or something living in huts
don't know where this thinking is coming from but it's not exactly correct -
we don't live in huts guys
nor are we Sudan type poor people barely making a living

our people are also content and happy with our lives (sure we can improve a LOT no doubt)
yall are usually good people when I met yall in person- but your media people are annoying sometimes
too much crap talk when we don't do the same in return nor do we think/treat you as an enemy
Our nation has a lot to achieve and improve and we are the first ones to say it but its not exactly doom and gloom
Bangladesh didn't have to suffer from having Afghans as their neighbors and blowing crap up everywhere in their country. Also their government promoting secularism and actively fighting extremism and extremist activities in the country unlike Pakistan helped a lot.Bangladesh is going to outpace pakistan in the near furture. Their investments in Education and women empowerment will pay off big time. Their literacy rate is almost 20% higher than Pakistan now. However there are risks. BD Needs to diversify from Garments exports. They need to start moving up in the manufacturing value chain else they will be out competed by other countries.
Pakistan on the other had has a huge potential but simply unable to solve its internal matters. They struggle from an identity crisis and unsure of what kind of nation they want to build or live in. Its a total mess.
never said we are this or that- if anything we usually stay quiet when it comes to big talkPakistan is obviously quite poor and impoverished but not as much as some people make it out to be. I will be honest I would rather be in Pakistans position then Bangladeshs
Don't let a few years of economic progress under a one party system fool you to the underlying and long term differences in geo strategic strength and planning between the two
Ultimately both countries have a hindutva extremist enemy to deal with next door that we WILL take on one way or the other
The hindus are going into hindutva mode and we are both lucky that we took the partition option, Indian Muslims are stuck and now all three will have to destroy our mutual enemy but ONLY Pakistan has thus far prepared and we have nuclear weapons, Bangladesh hasn't and Indian Muslims the less said the better for the moment but they are inside india
As a local Pakistani, I can confirm that Pakistani women are now actively participating in national development spectrum. Though their focus is medical field mostly but in engineering field also they are not coming slow.
Sarah Qureshi (cofounder of Aeroengines startup) should be role model for every Pakistani woman.

Haters can hate him all they want but, Zia never compromised on Pakistans freedom and sovereignty.Shaheed Zia's views on freedom and sovereignty
Seriously confused author... derived a bizzare conclusion out of randomly selected comparisons and entirely ignored global geopolitics and its impact on the region
BD are very lucky they didn't have to get involved in geopolitics and can quietly build their country. But to be honest I would have thought more progress would have been made, should be like a Vietnam at the very least.
Pakistans growth we all know has been stunted with regime changes and selections from outside players wrestling for the region. Most of the funds have been into pumped into security. Their nuke program stopped them from gaining ally status from the west, the price had to be paid. At the moment its a fight to get enough space to build the economy. 20 years of peace time and heavy growth could take Pakistan to Malaysia level.
