While covert hot pursuit missions over the Durand line have been happening for over a decade by special forces; (usually small teams of operators entering villages and taking out key figures in the middle of the night)

How will the PA or Frontier Corps Respond (or be forced to due to public outcry) when and if it shifts to more of a conventional force attack; Apaches or even artillery barrages protecting air cavalry troops as they cross over?

Then situation will be interesting, Cobras and MI-35s can cross over and destroy Marakiz of TTP and likes.

a professional and practical approach is to ask the Americans to ensure that their target never manages to reach the border in first place.

that effective pursuit will negate their need to cross into Pakistan. the thread is hypothetical what if and what should pakmil do in such case? well there are open channels of communication between the two forces and they can follow the hammer and anvil approach which has in few occasions put into practice with good results.

despite all the drama of trump and all media talk for the purpose of good tv ratings... US forces and Pak military are not foes, the American supply lines still go through Pakistan, there are still undisclosed bases and warehouses used by the US forces inside Pakistan. both still coordinate operations, the senior command of both forces still meets up on regular bases.

so lets not fan the flames for the benefit of the trolls on the eastern side who like taliban, TTP,ISIS and BLA are wishing for an all out and open conflict between US and Pak forces to use that to their advantage

I am aware of the co-operation between Pakistani forces and US forces. Due to the sensitive nature of work, it is best to keep it confidential. It looks like Trump was not aware of it or may be he deliberately ignored it. So far our government's response is responsible and pragmatic. I am sure Trump's generals must have given him a clear picture of ground realities. For the last few days he is not said anything on this matter. Is it calm before the storm or Trump has come to his senses. Lets hope reason prevails.
