While covert hot pursuit missions over the Durand line have been happening for over a decade by special forces; (usually small teams of operators entering villages and taking out key figures in the middle of the night)
How will the PA or Frontier Corps Respond (or be forced to due to public outcry) when and if it shifts to more of a conventional force attack; Apaches or even artillery barrages protecting air cavalry troops as they cross over?
If historical precedence is anything to go by, the Americans tried this hot pursuit nonsense during the Vietnam era and got badly, badly beaten in those operations. Pakistan is much more stronger than those countries and it is backed by the second most powerful country in the world, so I don't think there is much chance of any such operation.
