Ma'am,just a simple question, does the Norwegian Navy allow it's women personnel to participate in case of a combat operation or are they just part of the S.A.R. division of the R.N.N.??I am asking this because here in India we don't allow our women personnel to participate in any kind of live combat exercise.
Women are allowed in direct combat and are subject to draft conditions if needed. Enlistment isn't mandatory, conscription is only extended to a few thousand men and women per year, but those that enlist and are selected or those that are drafted are expected to serve in any role chosen for them - or that they test into. That includes combat roles.
"In 1985, Norway became the first country in NATO to allow women to serve in all combat capacities."
8 Other Nations That Send Women to Combat
I enlisted.
