I totally forgot, back in India, I too had Broadband from MTNL but it had like 750 MB limit per month on my basic plan where as here I have no limit on how much I download so please edit your posts .

Nooo, read Computer Networks by Tannebaum . It's Channel capacity, there are algorithms which limits on how much bandwidth is given depending on file size, plus not mention propagation delays and distance of servers from the site.

Yes sir, for my business I have fiber optics which has this speed. Check with ATT if you need one but I pay $156/mo

Yes u are right there is 2 GB download limit ..if u have Rs 500 plan..but if you have Rs 1000 plan ..its unlimited download.

Why not use Bluetooth of your phone and laptop and use the phone's internet on your laptop, my 3.5 G ATT works fine but I guess 3G is still not in India!
