I don't mind getting married, the problem is getting married to someone you hardly know. If you can raise issues with Love or love marriage, we should also look into issues related to arranged marriage... First thing we need to get straight is that love is not HARAM; there are number of cases where there is abuse in marriages or marriages where the relation of the husband and wife is really bad, and in some to the point where they hardly talk... It's actually hard to find a happy arranged married couple. Thank fully, I wouldn't have to worry.

My friend (male) liked a girl at university. She was always in a hijab and never spoke to any men. But he just fell for her face and her character. He couldnt speak to her. So after much deliberation he wrote a long letter. Plucked up the courage to approach her and gave her the letter stating please Gove this to your father. She took the letter but didnt reply. Her father was no longer in this world and she went home and shared it with her mother.
In the letter he wrote that he doesnt know her but loves her character etc. He told the truth that he was a simple guy from a humble home and is hard working and will make sure he takes care of their daughter. The letter was so sincere that today they have 2 kids. He is an optician and she is the queen of the house.

Well go for a hybrid approach. I met someone, came to know about her and we both liked each other so we talked to our parents, got the target locked (engagement/nikkah) and launched the family i.e. Rukhsati.
